Vernalia cafe — Restaurant in Tallinn

This is one of those old-style lunch canteens/simple cafes that are treasured by everyone working in the area daily and not being too enthusiastic about paying exorbitant amounts of money for a tiny bite at a vegan hipster eco raw quaint lounge zones. The food is simple and filling, and daily offers are large and reasonably priced. They do seem to have an affection for raw carrot salad as a side which I don't entirely get, but the potato gratins and soups are always excellent 👌

There might be a waiting line around 12 noon, but otherwise not too crowded.

Hot tip for breakfast: from 9 to 11 am they make the loveliest oven omelettes with cheese and ham, if this rocks your boat. I keep...

The perfect cafeteria concept: good prices, fast, and has that homemade taste that makes your forget that you're in a simple restaurant. I love the music, the decoration, and the fact that the bread is free. Mostly local people come here, chairs are super comfortable for a cafeteria. You're able to pay with card and the staff know simple English, perfect for an affordable meal while visiting this...

What a find. Great, traditional Estonian food, for a price wildly different from the Old Town.

We had two big meals, with soup and drinks, for 20€!!
