I ended up here as a result of the Ethiopian Airlines stopover program. Hotel is buried in small streets in the nice Bole neighbourhood. Property is relatively new but more of a local vs international standard. Room had some flies but the shower worked well and room was large enough with a comfortable enough beds. Linens looked a bit dirty. Room did have a safe. Elevator was really good. The stopover program includes meals. Breakfast was sufficient and they made some eggs for me too, but didn’t seem to include coffee. Lunch took forever for them to make, and dinner was only 1 option which is very limiting if you don’t want beef. Staff here are all over the place - some are very friendly and helpful, others lazy, and overall training seems poor with the same question getting different answers from different staff. The biggest problem arose the morning I was supposed to leave. The shuttle time was already cutting it close, but the hotel delayed the shuttle by an extra 25 min to add other passengers with much later flights, causing me and 2 other passengers to nearly miss our flight and I only just made the checked bag cutoff. Ethiopian Airlines was wonderful and a staff member helped escort me through the airport, but this never should’ve happened. I had even double checked the night before and asked to go even earlier and the hotel failed. The hotel is close to the airport so they easily could have done multiple trips instead of making passengers wait for so long and then also risk them missing their flights. What a pleasant surprise, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Addis. Only 7-10 minutes from Bole airport, and easy to venture to the rest of the city. The cleanliness is absolutely unmatched. The comfort of the bed, the cleanliness and fresh smell of the sheets, and high quality bathroom with modern shower and large tiles wrapped around the bathroom. It’s a smaller family owned hotel, but with big size rooms, crown molding and tray ceiling and quality closets. It is a beautiful hotel, yet it feels like a luxury apartment of your own. I had a balcony and had a nice view out. The staff members were fantastic with beautiful smiles and eager to help when needed. Breakfast was included until 10:30 am which worked out well for me. On my next trip possibly next year, I am coming back to this hotel, and I am also hoping to visit Gondar and its vicinity and will definitely stay in its well known brother Goha...
