Park Lane Addis Hotel — Hotel in Addis Ababa

I stayed at Parklane Hotel in Addis Ababa from March 3, 2025 to March 5, 2025, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I arrived late at 12:30 AM, only to be met by a sleepy, unprofessional receptionist who first claimed I had no reservation, then suddenly found it. He handed me a room key that didn’t work, and when I asked for a new one, I had to wait because he had gone to sleep! Once I finally got into my room, there was no bottled water. Again, I had to wait because the receptionist had dozed off. When I ordered a simple sandwich, instead of room service, the security guard was sent to get it. His communication was poor, and he seemed more interested in getting a tip than providing service. To top it all off, the sandwich was awful. On top of all that, the room next to mine was occupied by a group of loud, strange individuals. I have no idea where they were from, but they were extremely noisy, making it impossible to get any rest. This hotel has terrible customer service, unprofessional staff, and a complete lack of basic hospitality. I would not recommend it to anyone. Avoid at all costs!
