I liked this hotel very much. The service was very nice and helpful. Breakfasts were ok - buns, bread, ham, cheese, butter - only cucumber or tomato was missing. There were juices, water, coffee and tea to drink :) Good basic breakfast. The room for two was very large and spacious. There was a TV, kettle and a small coffee machine. The beds are large and comfortable. We were also satisfied with the bathroom :) shower, towels and liquid dispensers. I think we have nothing to complain about :)

A well situated hotel to explore the northern isles of Faroe. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is buffet style offering fantastic bread, meats and cheese, a range of cereals and yoghurt. We used the hotel as a base to explore the area around Klaksvík and Kalsoy (by ferry) which are incredible landscapes. There are beautiful paintings of villages and scenes from the isles and for these alone it’s worth a stay.

For being so isolated & so far away from the mainland, there wasn't ever a shortage of cleanliness, hospitality, or help if required. Breakfast was exactly what you would expect from a European spread- I do understand why they think American coffee is terrible...because their version is...well, terrible 😂. But the shower is big & tap water drinkable. Beds are soft with real down. Get the water view if you can!

This hotel provided all the essentials you need. The room was clean and everything was convenient and comfortable. It is a plain product but very serviceable. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. No elevator. Enjoyable view over the harbour in front-facing rooms. Room not huge but adequate enough. Parking was easy.||However, I have one serious complaint: I booked in October 2022 for an August 2023 stay, requesting a room away from the road (which, in effect, meant a harbour-facing room). ||The booking was confirmed with a price of DKK 2390. At check-in, I was charged DKK2990. I tried to hold the hotel to its written quote but was told that 2990 was the current charge in summer, also that that was the charge for a harbour-facing room. As this is the only hotel in Klaksvik, I no choice but to pay the higher rate. I recommend that you get a quote in writing (as I did) and check just beforehand whether they are still going...

Hotel Klaksvik is a quaint three story walk up hotel, conveniently located on the harbor, with great views of the fjord.|Its location allows you to walk to nearly everything in town, and has ample parking along with excellent views of the harbor. |While this is no luxury establishment, it has most of the requirements for a comfortable stay, including decent sized rooms, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, in room coffee/tea service as well as complimentary continental breakfast. |The lobby is small, but nicely appointed with Queen Anne couches, and a quaint reception. The staff (only one person) is friendly and accommodating.|Be advised there is no elevator, so if you have trouble ambulating or have heavy luggage, you may want to request a room on a lower floor. |We were in room 312 which had a...

I agree with the last couple of reviews that it's a solid, basic, clean hotel. As someone mentioned, knowing that going in is the key. Earlier reviews covered the basics: no elevator; simple but adequate breakfast; minimal staffing. I'd add that there's free parking which is nice. Even though it's only 30 minutes away, it was also really fun to get out of Torshavn for two nights. It's that much closer to the northern hikes and it's fun to see a smaller town. Unrelated to the hotel, make sure to grab a meal at Cafe Frida while you're in Klaksvik. Best...
