Forenom Hostel - Espoo Otaniemi — Hotel in Helsinki sub-region

It was REALLY loud. If you have a chance, stay somewhere else and pay a company that treats customers of all means with some respect.

Not that people were inconsiderate in the hostel but that the sound part is part of the of the design. Each door has a 5 digit code, which needs to be entered to open to door. Each digit corresponds with loud beep. The sound is on both night and day. So each time your neighbor, or to that matter anyone on the floor opens the door, goes to the toilet, kitchen, leaves etc... you will wake up. The doors themselves have really clunky locks, which make loud sounds and slam automatically, which makes literally each door bang from vibration. It's really hard to have any sort of uninterrupted sleep. The pictures looked very different from hostel, they are heavily edited and create a wrong impression. Quality of air is terrible, old conditioner or something else but it was pretty bad. Shower lacked shower curtain and some wires were leaking.

During my stay I got in touch with the customer service about sound and leaking bidet (which got fixed, thanks, I didn't need to stand in a puddle each time I wanted to wash my hands :), customer service assistant said that I chose the cheapest option, so what did I expect? So poor people should accept sleep deprivation as part of a hostel feature? The sentiment of the remark left an extra...

The rooms do not look as advertised (missing shelves and lamps), so beware. After complaining, we did get a voucher but the photo hasn't been changed on the website, so I feel like they are not a very honest company.

Some of the furniture is falling apart and the toilet stalls are also barely functional (some doors won't close properly for example). The showers look like you were in prison.

There is supposed to be a reception. In my one month stay, I have never seen a person there. All facilities (sauna, club rooms) are closed "due to covid", but in my opinion, that's just to save money on cleaning and electricity.

The only positive things I can say are that it was pretty quiet at night (except for people going to work very early in the morning and slamming the doors a few times on the way) and that the kitchen looked pretty decent (although not even on...

I have never been so disappointed and offended. I booked a room, paid $40 per night, the hotel said that it would send a pin code from the cell with the keys for the possibility of self-check-in to the hotel, but it did not, that is, I arrived at the hotel from the airport, and there the reception is closed, the pin code it doesn't have, as a result I was left alone in Finland at 11:30 p.m. where I don't know anyone, the hotel didn't answer my messages, didn't answer my calls, and now it doesn't even want to return my money, it completely ignores me. This is fraud on their part. I do not recommend anyone to contact them as you will be left with no money and no number.
