I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Savoy. The employees of the Hotel Pommern who took care of the Savoy as well were very friendly and helpful - especially the ladies who worked at the reception on thursday (07.11.2024) afternoon. That was top service!
The only poor experience I had with the young lady who worked at the reception on saturday (09.11.2024) morning. When I arrived for my first breakfast in the hotel pommern I went to the reception and asked if there is anything need to be done before I can go into the dining room (like seeing/scanning my room keycard). She just stared at me blankly like this question was completly stupid. I added "Well, it's my first breakfast at this place, so maybe you can tell me how this works." She stared again and then asked "...do you stay at the Savoy or...?" I confirmed that and she told me to just go in. So far so good. But when I passed her she smirked openly to her male colleague and then laughed with him. Not in a nice way and not with but about me. I don't think that being at some place for the first time and wanting to do everything right justifies gossiping about customers, but if you can't fight the urge to do it, at least have the manners to wait until he/she is gone.
(Apart from that I don't really understand why anybody would ever pay 19 Euro for the breakfast if nobody controls if he/she really is a guest of one of the hotels and give it out for free).
But just because of this one employee I won't remove a star. Overall it was a very...

They had only one key for our room in the reception and they were really rude and not caring about it! Didn't even apologise. When I said that surely they have to have a dublicate key, clerk answered mocking me "no, I dont HAVE TO!". Yes you do. Make one. Or at least dont be rude about it. And who uses actual metallic keys in decent hotels in 2022, instead of plastic programable cards?
Breakfast is very poor. Wifi doesn't...
Read moreThis was positive surprise. This was a very good 3 star hotel. The hotel staff was particularly nice and helpful and they all speak swedish, finnish and english. The breakfast was really good with all the usual coffee, juice, bread with proper toppings, fresh fruits, jogurt, porriage, mysli, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage etc. The hotel is a bit old building, but totally worth the 3 star. Everything was working and the hitel was clean. The reception is open 24/7 in the summer time and the luggage room...
