Terrible hotel in a place of Beauty
I do not understand how this hotel can claim it is a three-star property.
First, the rooms: musty-smelling and damp, with large amounts of mold growing in the bathrooms. Every wall in the rooms we had was scuffed or stained, and one room had the remnants of smashed mosquitos all over the walls. The furniture is old, worn out, and heavily damaged. The bathrooms are primitive.
In order to minimize the musty smell in the rooms, one must open the door to the balcony/terrace to let fresh air in, but there is a severe mosquito infestation around the hotel, so if you leave the door open for more than about 1 second, your room will be filled with hungry mosquitos.
The soundproofing between rooms is non-existent. You and your neighbors will become very familiar with everyone‘s personal habits.
The only positives are, of course, the location of the hotel (disregarding the mosquito problem), and the possible availability of a free parking space if you get there early enough.
We did not have the breakfast, so I cannot comment on its quality.
I strongly recommend...
Read moreWhat is great: the location and the view. Wonderful view of the sea and the mountains .We stayed at the top floor. The nice young woman at the reception was very helpful. We had booket a panorama flat but needed a three bedroom flat. She did great in helping. Thank you! The room is ok in size. Loved the kitchenette. Pool was lovely and there was always space. Infinity pool looking at the woods. Such a wonderful setting.
This place has got the quality to be more up scale giving it a little attention
What could be a bit better: the equptment at the kitchenette. A clean boiler could be nice ( I asked for one and I had to clean it because it was extremely filthy) and a toaster. Also the cleaning of the rooms could be a little better. All in all the whole building needs a little attention. Some painting and a really good clean would do wonders. But it really needs a shower by the pool. There is no shower. And that is a little disguisting. However the upsides beats the downsides. So we recommend the place. This little town is wonderful and worth a visit There are great hikes and possibility...
Read moreThis place can not be called a hotel. It is a poorly appointed, seriously aged, delapidating motel! Clogged shower, no fresh towels, no front desk receptionist after 6pm, no water in the rooms or vending machines, no "honesty bar" to have a cup of tea or water and.... terrible aggressive owners - husband and wife - who are sending but friendly! We were accommodate there by the hiking company for our hiking trip in Corsica and had no idea what we were into!|Once one of my friends tried to have an extra cup of coffee at breakfast and the woman owner told the receptionist in French - thinking we did not understand - that we must be charged for the second breakfast for this cup of coffee. |Then one night both owners - husband and wife - screamed at me when I was trying to get hot water at the breakfast nook on the evening, saying I am not allowed to do that!|Terrible place! There are so many nicer hotels around to stay at. I will not recommend this...
