Well positioned for shops, bars and supermarket and a short walk to the slopes and chair lift. However on arrival, 4.30 pm we were advised that our room was not ready and no estimate of when this would be ready could be given. Eventually we were given the keys at 6pm at which time a deposit of €400 was required (no prior advice of this requirement had been provided), together with a schedule to check off the entire contents of the apartment, with a price list confirming what we would be charged if items were missing and not reported or broken, it took about an hour to complete and some items were missing. It then had to be signed and returned within 12 hours. As we reported items were missing the hotel staff had to attend to do the check themselves!! The Spa was modern but an additional charge of €20pp was made for a dressing gown and additional towel. The radiators had also been switched off at the fuse box and we had to request that these be switched back on. The night before we left detailed instructions were sent advising that a full clean of kitchen was required, all rubbish removed, beds stripped and apartment left as we found it, again a list of fine charges for non compliance...

Read moreHad a wonderful stay with my wife and son and was planning a return next year with a larger group. That was until we were accused (after departing for the airport), of damaging the TV. They sent pictures of "a" tv with scratches to the screen and said they would keep 300 of the 400 euro deposit we paid on arrival. I immediately contested this as we definitely had not done any damage and they dropped the charge to 250. Despite repeated emails they refused to reply and TUI said it was an issue between the hotel and ourselves. I contacted my credit card provider and registered a dispute and received a full refund. Despite having 45 days to provide evidence of damage to the credit card company they didn't bother and I kept my money. I would definitely think twice before booking with GCH...
