We have just returned from a brilliant stay at this great location. Where do I start the staff were lovely, very polite and accommodating. The whole building was lovely and clean. The location was perfect with our ski hire shop located below the building, a takeaway pizza place directly opposite and a bakery two minutes walk located underneath the building next door. With regards to the skiing, the ski in ski out was brilliant and we had our own private ski storage which was also very useful. Our accommodation overlooked the ski slopes which was perfect as we could watch the torch descent from our balcony. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room was perfect for the kids and so handy for myself and my wife to use after the skiing.
We are a family of 5 with 3 children aged 4, 8 and 10 and for us this accommodation with the location worked for us. We didn’t need to use our van all holiday and it was so useful having a car park below ground with private parking. I have a VW transporter with chrome roof rails and we were able to fit this into the below ground car park with a good 100mm clearance between my van and the ceiling.
Our children are already asking when we can return, they especially loved the easy access to the slopes so they could hit the slopes for sledging once the skiing had finished.
Our only think that we would say that we didn’t like was the beds. The kids slept well but myself and my wife really struggled. I have noticed a few people mention the beds being uncomfortable.
This would not stop me from returning to this venue but it would be great if they did look at improving the beds😃
I cannot fault this accommodation and we had an amazing time. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable and we will be returning...
Read moreWe were so pleased with our decision to book our ski week at La Roc Noir. The apartment was lovely, 407 which was at the back but high enough up to have a nice outlook. Well equipt and we even had the main 5 UK TV channels (when the weather was clear!). The manager, Catherine, was very welcoming and helpful. Wifi was good, and sledges were available to borrow from reception. The icing on the cake is the location of La Roc Noir, we could see the lifts from our balcony and the ESF meeting point is pretty much right outside. We could ski to the boot room from the bottom of the children's favourite green. It was perfect for nipping out for a few final runs of the day! We visited over the Christmas week with a 10 and a 6 year old and it was really magical, La Rosiere seem to put a lot of effort into Christmas for families. La Roc Noir is right in town and just a couple of minutes from the supermarket and lovely bakeries, which were even open all day on Christmas day. All in all we had a brilliant holiday in La Rosiere at La Roc Noir and found them good value for money. We would definitely go there again (allow lots of time for the transfers! Realistically 4 hours on...
Read moreWe're old clients and we can tell in the past was much better. Personnel is not fair and comprehensive, as we had problems with credit card we did not get the keys till the bail was payed, and had to leave the car outside full of baggage. At departure we asked to leave the car in the park, for the time of a short breakfast, and the receptionist told us it was not possible because fully booked, but many of the clients were leaving and there was lots of empty spots probably till 17.00 in the afternoon, the check in time. ||We found pillowcase and sheets dirty and asked for a change. Cleaning personnel in the swimming pool normally came at 19.40 when the closing time is 20.00, and sometimes turned off hammam and sauna.||We'll not go back...
