We were nervous coming into the hotel as most reviews weren't great and walking up the building, it didn't look great on the outside either but as we got out of the lift onto the 6th floor where the reception was, we were pleasantly welcomed by the most happy and enthusiastic receptionists. They took our details (and our card details to take a deposit of 200euro, although the 200euro wasn't actually taken out of the account). They then proceeded to show us a commons room which contain a bar, pool table and seating area, which we actually didn't use once. Then to a jacuzzi (we used every day after skiing, what better way to relax after a day on the slopes!!) and a gym. Then onto our room which was on the 7th floor. The studio room is small but cozy, perfect for just the two of us! The interior and decor was lovely, nice french chalet feeling with wooden everything! Very little complaints about the studio itself, spotless, clean, warm, kitchen was modern and looked new, same with the bathroom and a lot of storage. Wifi worked perfectly for us, only once or twice that it didn't work for 5 minutes max! We were able to watch netflix and movies online every night! Only complaint is that there is two separate beds and not one double bed. The hotel also provide you with a locker room for your skiis free of charge. The hotel is only about a 5 minute walk to the gondola up to meribel.I would 100% recommend staying in the eurica residence if staying in bride les bains. If on a budget ski holiday (my boyfriend and i are students) this hotel and bride les bains is a perfect location. Gondola is about 30 mins up to meribel and there were never long queues waiting for them. Les 3 vallees is spectacular and would 100% recommend getting the 3 vallees ski pass! The vast amount of slopes are amazing, never a...
Read moreThe good: ||Decent size studio flat with good sized (perhaps over-large) bathroom and plenty of storage space.||Everything was reasonably clean and you get access to a ski storage area on the ground floor (Basically it's a pretty standard spec French apartment block, about half of which is owned by Eureka).||Unlike other reviewers we found the wifi to be more than adequate. Also unlike other reviewers, the hot-tub was nice and hot while we were there.||The building is less than 5 mins walk from the Gondola that takes you up to Meribel although there are regular shuttle buses if you're feeling really lazy (in which case, why are you skiing?)||There is a well equipped gym and the communal areas are nice.||We arrived at 9am on the Saturday and were given access to the flat by 10am even though officially you should wait until 4pm - hence the excellent for customer service!||The not so good:||The communal areas are not open until 3pm and the bar doesn't serve alcohol, which limits its usefulness to North Europeans like ourselves. ||The kitchen area is a bit poky and may be a bit close to the beds for some people's taste.||Our room was at the back of the building and didn't have much of a view, despite being on the 5th floor.||Brides is not great for night-life and access to Meribel after 5pm (when the Gondola stops) is...
Read moreBooked this apartment for 3 people. ||Lovely little apartment, chalet feel. Lovely and warm, 4 single beds provided - two in a bedroom, the other two in the kitchen/dining/living room. Kitchen area had a fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave and kettle. Lots of crockery and pans too. ||The hot tub was wonderful although it shuts at 7pm daily. ||||The hotel provide a free ski locker, but we chose to pay 20 euros for the week and use the ski locker at skiset (located below the gondola station). ||||Quick 5 min walk to the gondola station - eureca is located opposite the Savoy hotel. Gondola takes 27mins from brides to meribel centre, first gondola up at 8.30am, and last one down at 1730. ||||Amazing boulangerie right next to the entrance door - perfect for morning croissants, and and afternoon tea cake. ||||Cute village with a range of fabulous restaurants, we ate at Hotel Le Centre, Hotel du Golf, La cabane, La montagne, Hotel Altis Val Vert. ||||negatives: ||- Wifi isn't very reliable - it was slow and often only worked well after about 10pm. ||||- On arrival we had trouble with ants in the kitchen area, reception provided an insect spray and offered to move us. ||||- Bath didn't drain very well. ||||Overall we would...
