In short: I have never seen such rude staff as in this hotel. Avoid this place if you can. We had a company of 15 people from all over the world including three little children. We booked 6 rooms in total for a 7-day stay. Example 1 We arrived from Canada at 1:00 pm, the woman at the reception right away informed me that the check in is at 4:00 pm. I asked if out of 6 rooms perhaps one is already available as we've come a long way from Canada. Without even trying to check, she just said no. Well Ok, rules are rules. Example 2 While waiting for the rest of the group to arrive in the evening myself, my wife and daughter go the hotel restaurant. After seating us, they paid zero attention to us. I had to ask three times for water which we got 30 minutes after seating down along with the stale bread (this is France should be pretty good) and we got out food in 60 minutes. The restaurant was maybe 30% full. The example that Blew my Mind! We wrote off our first experience on the lack of French and some misunderstanding and decided to have a dinner with all 15 people in the restaurant. Upon arrival, we saw that there were only 14 chairs, we asked for an extra one. The waiter, who claimed to be the manager of the hotel, later on, counted plate settings (15) and said we are not missing a chair. We've asked for a seat again, and he counted plate settings again. At which point he asked out French speaking guy " Do you even know how to count." We requested a manager. At this point, he started using very aggressive body language, yelling at us and telling us that he is the manager of the whole hotel and we can't talk to anyone else. All while towering over two little kids. We've recorded the whole incident as he started yelling and will forward it to head office. Since it was Friday, we had no choice but to stay there to eat (we didn't order soup). Four of us never got our dishes after 3 requests. We had to stay in the hotel for another 3 days at which point it seems they decided to make our living even worse: -Nobody cleaned my Dad's room for 2 days -We got dirty rags on our table in the hotel room -My kid's room had no new towels for 3 days Summary: Staff doesn't care about customer service a bit. They know people will come for the mountains. Avoid this hotel and book somewhere else. If you end up here, don't go to the restaurant unless you want to check your patience.

We took a family "suite" for one night before heading up to a hotel at one of the ski resorts the for week. On arrival at 1800hrs their was nobody on reception and one has to call a telephone number and ask for someone to check you in. Nice lady who also helped us with the below issues. The first impression is not of a 4 star hotel.. it is in desperate need of renovation. Once up in the room with prestige on the door what one finds behind the door is far from prestige so who knows what a non-prestige room looks like. (See photos). The childrens bed was not made up and we didn't have sheets, a duvet or towels for them. When we tried to open the childrens sofa bed we found the metal frame structurally broken and slats missing. (See photos) The nice girl working in the hotel is on her own with 100 rooms. She offered to give us another room for our children, which we had to accept as sofa-bed was impossible to use. Of course she needed to clean and prepare this second room for us at 1920hrs which will take an hour while she has to cover reception and any other guest requests. Quite serious Pauline was fantastic. Oh... all this comes with a bad stale cigarette and or animal urine smell in this non-smoking room. Apart from the hotel needing renovation it appears the hotel is desperately under-staffed. That's an understatement. We were not expecting prestige or top-notch luxury but this hotel is well below our expectations even for a quick one night stay-over. It is what it is but be aware of what it is... not a 4 star hotel and far from it. Mercure-Accor this is beyond disappointing and I think it's safe to say we won't stay in any of your other hotels. We are a Franglais family regularly in France and we really are shocked.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel des Thermes in Brides-Les-Bains, and I cannot praise the staff enough for their exceptional care and support during our visit. My father-in-law, who has mobility challenges, unfortunately had a fall during our stay. The response from the hotel team was nothing short of remarkable. From the moment it happened, the staff jumped into action. They were quick to assist him, ensuring he was comfortable and safe. The attention they provided was not only professional but also genuinely caring. They helped him with first aid and made sure he had everything he needed to recover, going above and beyond to check on him regularly. The hotel itself is a lovely place to stay, with spacious rooms and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The thermal spa facilities are fantastic, offering a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. We appreciated the accessibility features throughout the hotel, making it easier for my father-in-law to navigate. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was comforting to know that while we were enjoying our time, the staff were readily available to assist if needed. I am incredibly grateful for the support we received at the Grand Hotel des Thermes. They truly made a challenging situation much easier for our family. I highly recommend this hotel not only for its excellent amenities but also for its compassionate and attentive staff. We look forward to returning in the future!

Dear all, I hope someone of the managements of the hotel can read this carefully and do something about it. Here we go. We booked at Booking.com from 23 dec 2021 till 2 Jan 2022. At the booking site they shows they hotels has spa and parking. Before we booked we read some bad reviews about the hotels, basically I told my self some people just complains. 23 December 2021 we arrived happy to spend our holiday, the reception guy speaks English he was helpful. He booked us in and told us there is a reservation at the restaurant for every night till the 1 of Jan 2022 we don’t need to reserve or do anything as we have half pension ( breakfast / dinner ). Also he told us there is no parking place and the only one is at their garage what cost 10€ a night, he warned me if we park else where the vehicle may be slipped. So we were forced to pay the parking!! During our stays we want to use the sauna because it was a bad weather and we thought to relax however I was surprised it cost 12,70€ Per hour per person.( I thought wow mafia in a hotel ). Anyhow the restaurant crue were fantastic no complain they works really hard. Two person to run 20 tables which cause delay receiving the food. It not theirs fault but the managements. In the new year evening we went to have our dinner as usually we arrived to the restaurant but we were allowed to eat because we didn’t made a reservation and the evening was fully booked for 18 table ( day one we were told everyday is a table booked for us) I insists that we have to eat and we payed for, the restaurant teams went to the reception and they managed to get us a table. Anyway 2 Jan 2022 has arrived and we went to check out, sadly a lady provide a bill to pay 128,90€ extra( restaurant ) I told her we have half pension means breakfast and lunch are already covered.i speak French because my partner didn’t I was communicating in English but no one of the ladies at the reception understand English. So basically I was forced to explain in French language which I did and explain to the lady we have a half pension ( breakfast and lunch ) are already covered. The lady said the new year evening is expensive food and you have to pay 128,90€. I told her I disagree with her but she keeps insisting to pay. Basically one week staying at the hotel cost us 2286€ + 128,90€+ 110€ = 2524,90€ for one week. I haven’t complained about the rooms. Are you ready ? The room has a big windows and curtains were big and old so every morning at 5 am the room is light and loud from the outside ( cars / horns /….) The room were cold sometimes the heater works and sometimes doesn’t. At the room we had a dirty carpet around the bed looks like someone throw some kind of acid over it. At the room we had a warning at the display of the heater ERROR006 the whole day / night flashing light. I hope the managements or who ever is responsible for the hotel to get back to me. Your hotel is acting unfair and forcing the customers to pay...
