Rude, arrogant & disorganised!!
I have been snowboarding & skiing for 25 years and during my time I have hired a lot of equipment from various providers in various resorts – This was hands down THE worst equipment hire experience I have ever had.
I took my young family in this shop to collect our pre-reserved (online) 400 euro’s worth of ski and snowboard hire. When we arrived there was two other families in the shop, (both evidently receiving awful service) and that’s where our appalling customer experience began. The three staff could barely raise a smile, let alone create a welcoming environment for customers, there was equipment strewn all over the shop and the shop smelt like a sewer.
The arrogant & rude person in charge could not stick to one task at hand, instead he was cross fertilising families, confusing the names of children and mixing up theirs & our reservation details. He even tried to take my credit card details against the booking of another English family.
My 5-year-old daughter was then given the wrong size skis, despite size & weight details being provided a month in advance. They then tried to give my 8-year-old son a snowboard when we ordered skis and then tried to give me ski’s even though my reservation was for a snowboard. At this point, anything that could be confused had been confused. We all witnessed the other family’s frustration as they received the same experience. The most bizarre thing was that I had a copy of my reservation details clearly stating what I’d ordered.
When I finally got the snowboard I ordered, it certainly was not of the ‘expert’ standard snowboard that I had reserved and paid for. The board was very average and had several gouges on the base and one of the bindings was stiff and wouldn’t release properly. When I pointed this out, I was told “it’s our busiest week of the year, we don’t have anything else’, so I was left with no alternative.
So, I took the board out on the mountain for 2 hours and it was horrendous – The binding that was faulty was my back foot and I couldn’t release at chair lifts – nightmare!! To compound this further, the board didn’t glide at all, it was like riding a slug. (I’ve never experienced such a poor board in 25 years) It ruined my first day, so i came off the mountain early and literally took the board straight back to the Precision Ski shop, and when I finally got served, the rude guy in the shop told me it was because of the fresh snow conditions. He then told me “I was lucky to have a board at all as it was his busiest week” - WOW!!
They didn’t have any other options and at first, he was reluctant to give me a refund, but then agreed to do so, but said I had to do it online and he refused to do it in the shop. (I’m still awaiting my money back!)
So, I left Precision Ski without a snowboard to ride for my holiday, so I then went next door to ‘Intersport Bride Les Bains’ where I was greeted by lovely, friendly staff who went out of their way to help me – they saved the day and restored my faith in...
Read moreThe worst service ever. I reserved 3 skies for whole family the day before skiing. When we can it was a queue for 1,5 hours outside(-2) of very small shop. After loooong waiting it turned out that the reservation is only valid after 26 hours?! So why do you give possibility to book something ealier?! Then they can’t refund immediately and you need to go somewhere and send hand written!!! form to return your money. It’s just awful experience, never ever try to go their. The equipment is old, the service is terrible and people are disappointed. After all of that we came to the nearest rental ski 2000(100 meters away) and without any waiting time we’ve got perfect equipment with brilliant service for the nearly the same price. Read moreWe used Precision Ski twice during the season, February and March. We were able to go to the shop at a quiet time and we were served immediately. The equipment was waiting for us as we had booked on line. The skis were obviously worn as it was towards the end of the season but the edges were fine and allowed us to ski as well as we were capable. As the rental price was very reasonable the equipment was as good as could be expected. The young girl serving in the shop both times was very helpful, particularly to me daughter who needed a helmet as well. We have booked February next year in Brides and will look to use Precision Ski as a first choice as it is so convenient...
