I have stayed here about a dozen times over the years and put friends onto this place but this will be my last stay. ||||On arrival I was asked for my passport which was photocopied. Then there was a request for my credit card. "I have already paid" and produced the receipt. The receptionist still wanted to see the credit card. She was shown the card but she wanted to have it (I can only assume to gain pre-authorisation). I explained that we will not be having breakfast or anything else chargeable. She still wanted the card. To cut a long story short there was no good reason for the hotel wanting my credit card. We were told it was to prove we had been there - but didn't the photocopy of my passport already do that? It seems the management simply don't trust any customers. I have stayed here many times without any problems but am still not trusted. I felt sorry for the young lady on reception as the management had put her into a difficult position. Sadly, she clearly took it personally.||||The real deal breaker for me though was the mattress. The mattress was fitted with some sort of waterproof under-sheet, zipped on so it entirely covers the mattress. This was too time consuming to remove (my wife was very tired and simply wanted to sleep). I tried to sleep on it but woke after about half an hour, very hot and sweaty particularly on the side against the mattress. I have tried to sleep on beds with these under-sheets before and knew it was going to be a very poor night's sleep. I therefore removed the duvet (my wife had pushed it off) and my pillow and used the duvet to cushion the floor. I honestly got a more comfortable night's sleep on the floor than I would have done in the bed.||||On a positive note, a couple of bottles of water are provided in the room and it is a quiet area. The area also feels very safe and for Paris it is moderately priced, though of course it is a fair way outside the centre. Finally, they have a secure room to...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for 15 days during the summer in August. I didn’t have the highest expectations when I booked our room because of the low ratings but I’m glad we took our chances. Check-in process was smooth and staff were very friendly and welcoming. When we got into our room, it was better than I expected. The bed was fairly comfortable, free wifi was provided, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals, although the shower was tight (if you are wider built like my husband, it was slightly tight for him) but it wasn’t a big deal. We knew before booking this room that there was no AC so we were prepared for that. The room had a fan which was good enough for us. I noticed there was no iron/ironing board in the room so I went to the front desk and they were able to provide us with one during our stay. They don’t clean the rooms everyday and only cleaned it once during our 15 days there but again, we knew that before we booked so that wasn’t an issue. We walked around in the area quite a bit (even past 10pm) and it seemed pretty safe. It’s only about an 8 min walk to the metro and you could be in the heart of Paris in minutes. We went to Intermarché for our groceries which was only a 5 min walk from our room. The only thing we didn’t like was the room smelt like someone had smoked in it even though it was a non-smoking room. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again. It was so much cheaper to stay here than in Paris where prices for rooms are over...
Read moreI went to Paris to work at Necker Hospital which is quite easy to get from Malakoff through metro line 13. The apartment was pretty clean, even I found the waste from previous guests still there. The major problem for me was that the air-recycling aspirator were a bit too noisy and I could not sleep very well. However, the hotel staff said no one complain about this before me, so it could be that I am too sensitive The metro station is 10 minutes walking from the hotel. So, I did not recommend this place if you travel alone, even this suburb seems to be relative safe. The hotel has nice apartments of an acceptable size and could be a good choice if you stay long time in Paris and do not want eat outside every day.The breakfast is not included, you can have for 8.5 euro. I do not recommend it: there is a supermarket and a small boulangerie just close door the hotel, (so much better) and in the apartment you will find all the kitchen equipment to prepare your breakfast. I only suggest this place if you are a group of friends or a family and you are looking for a cheapest option with possibility to cook. If you stay for few days in Paris, i would find something close to the city centre for...
