If you don't want to pay a lot for a room you will only stay at night to sleep this is a great hotel. It's close to the Metro 4 subway station. Learn how the metro system works! Be aware during mornings 7-9am the trains get packed with people going to work. Same between 5-7pm. Research about Paris pickpockets for proper preparation. Don't worry, you can avoid them! We did even when 3 teenage girls tried us when boarding the Metro train. Once you are in center of Paris it's the easier to use the metro because there are many stations. Buy some two ice cube trays at the Monoprix nearby the hotel. Make a lot ofice cubes. Keep them in the freezer in a large zip lock bag. Buy a vacuum sealed water bottle. Put ice in it. Add water.Take it with you. Save buying water because it's hot in the summer. You have to request ice for your beverages at restaurants or they don't put any in. Also, they don't do refills anywhere, so sip don't gulp! Paul's bakery has excellent croissants (almond croissants are yummy) and baguettes!!! Good to have in your backpack. Dining is usually around 15-18 Euros per person unless you share like we did! Download Google Translate app if you don't speak French! It helped me have conversations and ask questions! This hotel only cost around $70 per night. If you stay in the center of Paris it's going to be a lot more! The room has a great little fridge. The air conditioning works best at 20C for sleeping in those comfortable beds with the thick blanket-comforters! If you are planning to take the Eurostar high speed train 🚆 to London buy tickets in advance or be prepared to pay double for the tickets! It happened to us. Normally they cost about $100 in advance. We paid $250 per ticket each one way! Uber is faster to the center from this hotel, so if you have a tour and you are late the trains not be your first option. Lesson, leave early when using the Metro trains! When you are going to the airport (CDG) from this hotel, Adagio Aparthotel Malakoff-Montrouge, it's at least 1 hour 20 minutes on Uber. If you have a lot of luggage you will need Uber Berliner. UberX is for see small luggage. Remember to buy unlimited metro ticketell. If you go person at the metro station customer service and tell them your plans they will sell you what you need! Oh, one more thing, Uber is expensive during peak hours. So if you are not in a hurry use the metro. Have a great vacation to...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for four weeks in June and July. My experience here was disappointing, starting from the moment that I checked in. My reservation stated that fees and taxes were included and the final amount to be paid at the hotel was shown. I reserved “connecting studios for 4 people” and I was charged an extra 210 Euros at check-in without being told. When I questioned this later, I was told that there is a tax of $2.50 per person per night and the reservation amount only included this tax for one person, so I was charged for the other 3 people at check-in. However, I was still overcharged. One person was under 18 and should not have been charged at all. Another person was leaving early. I was able to eventually get a partial refund because of this.||When I chose this hotel, I was looking for one that had air conditioning, and this feature is stated on the website for the hotel. When we arrived, it was very hot in both rooms and the temperature cannot be adjusted in the room. When I tried to get the air conditioning fixed, I was told that the temperature cannot be decreased under 26 degrees Celsius (78.8 Fahrenheit). The temperature cannot be controlled from the room. Most of the time, it seemed that the A/C wasn’t even on, and I was so hot that I was sweating. I did notice that the temperature in the lobby was always much cooler than in our rooms though. If you are looking for a hotel with air conditioning, you won’t be comfortable here.||The customer service varied greatly depending on who was at the front desk. Some people were great and some definitely were not. The rooms are only cleaned once per week, but I didn’t mind that. The hotel uses thin, papery mattress covers that seem to be disposable and continually slip off of the mattress. I found myself constantly trying to put the mattress covers and sheets back in place to avoid sleeping on the bare mattress. The covers tear very easily, which made it difficult. This was very annoying. ||Overall, our stay wasn’t horrible, but we didn’t enjoy this hotel and were happy to check out. I won’t stay here the next time that I am in Paris for an...
Read moreUnfortunately this was probably the only hotel in our tour that we stayed at that was decent in terms of the hotel room itself and it’s amenities. But, in saying this, the hotel has employed under qualified staff that supposedly don’t know how to use their in house security system (video cameras) and in our tour that we had partaken in, One family had their two $2000 DSLRs stolen. Poor management and employees that aren’t trained well is what resulted in someone getting into the hotel and stealing two DSLR cameras from the family’s ROOM! The night of the incident the hotel staff were notified and everyone including the manager of the hotel was made aware of the incident. Our tour director was nice enough to let her management know as well but there can only be so much done from another country. Unfortunately, after the incident and due to the mismanagement by the managing staff (ignoring calls, not returning calls fast enough and rude behaviours [denying the even thought of someone getting into their hotel and into the family’s room]). It just made it clear that we were simply a number. As much as the hotel was a good hotel room. As the name says, (ApartHotel) it’s a micro apartment, their staff and overall customer service was terrible. Even the next morning when my parents and I had had breakfast with the rest of our tour group. We were taken aback by the lack of respect they had for my parents and I. We were sitting at one table eating and it seems that the lady didn’t realize we were STILL EATING. As I’m cutting the bread piece she starts spraying the table with liquid cleaner and starts cleaning the table. As. I’m. Eating.
Under qualified. Rude. Lack of customer service. And the...
