I was staying here with my wife for our vacations in Paris.
First of all the people at the reception was nice, easy to communicate with them if you don’t speak french.
The room was nice when in terms of space, the main room was nice, a very spacious bed with too nightstand in both sides, a nice wardrobe, one tv(to old for me but was ok), one chair and a small table.
The Kitchen was ok, a little small for my taste but gets the job done, they provide you the dishes, a clutery set and cups, the cabinets are ok to store the things you buy, there’s also a small fridge and small table to eat.
The bathroom was nice, very spacious, the only thing i could complain about the bathroom it’s that there is a bathtub and not a shower ( but that is a matter of preference).
And a good thing about the hotel it’s that it is in a good place and a paceful neighborhood( at least it is what it seems to me), and a good point is that you have a small supermarket just in front of the building.
And another thing to emphasize is that the train that gets you to Paris and to the Eiffel Tower it’s a 10 minutes away walking.
But the reasons why I put 1 and 2 stars it’s because the rooms are to hot even if you try to set the heating at a desired level, it’s seem that the heating systems are always on, not only in the rooms but in all the building, it was suffocating, it always seems to be at 30 degrees Celsius(86 Fahrenheit) and we were there in winter, we always had to sleep with the window open.
Reading other comments about the hotel I found out that other people had problems with bed bugs and fortunately we never had that problem except on one occasion where i found one bed bug near the window.
The room cleaning service was terrible, in all the days that we were there the bathroom towels were changed just one time and the bedclothes were never changed it was disgusting and apparently they just enter the room to empty the trash can and that was all, the floor was dirty and the...
Read moreI chose to reserve 1 night at this Residhome because of the price. Very reasonable compared with other hotels in the area. The check in was efficient. I was even told that I had been upgraded to an executive suite from the two person studio that I had reserved. The person performing my checking said that the beverages that I would find in the suite were all complementary.
The suite was spacious though the kitchen was a bit small but functional. One odd thing is that the attached cover for the dishwasher door was mismatched with the kind of dishwasher installed. The outer door cover was hinged on the left but the dishwasher door was hinged on the bottom. Consequently, because the outer cover was not attached to the dishwasher door, it would not close complete. It's a design error that did not look nice aesthetically, but did not hamper the functionality of the dishwasher.
One other annoying thing was, like many hotels these days, bar soap is not longer provide but instead cleaning gel provided in dispensers attached to the wall. Normally this is OK but in this case, the body wash dispenser was empty. I had to use the hand cleansing gel at the face bowl which, when taking a shower, is difficult and dangerous to access.
I agree with one of the other reviews that I read which said the rooms were hot and modifying the temperature with the air con in the bedroom controlled by a remote control proved to be difficult. I never managed to get the air con to work.
One last annoying thing is that the room is furnished with a smart TV for which the smart TV functions (like accessing streaming services) were not enabled. Only terrestrial TV functions worked.
None of these negative experiences, however, would keep me from reserving a stay at this Residhome in the future. All in all it is good...
Read moreRooms are fine. Location was good for work and transport. Housekeeping standards are very poor. Aside from making the bed and putting in a fresh towel they don’t do anything else during the stay. Bins were not emptied, crockery not replaced. Breakfast is advertised until 11 AM on weekends in the room information so after my morning workout I went to the restaurant at 10:30 AM and was told the restaurant is closed. I required a refund on my credit card which in itself was a ridiculous process. I was asked to write down my credit card details on a piece of paper which would be given to the manager. I asked why it couldn’t just be refunded on the same machine that the charge was made and I was told that the special cards for the hotel to process a refund we’re locked in the safe. So the hotel doesn’t trust it staff to make a refund but at the same time they are OK with customer credit card details being written down and completely unsecured. It took about 15 minutes to get the manager who then opened the safe and processed the refund. If you trust your staff with customers’ credit card details surely you should trust them with making transactions on behalf of the hotel or is it that you just don’t care about your customers security?
Alba and Ines gave exceptional customer service and will probably do better in another hotel that values...
