Café-Hôtel du Théatre — Hotel in Dinan

I cannot really say too much things about the Hotel, I was not there. But I can say about the bar they have, the coffee is acceptable but the service is the worst I have seen in a long time. Surely if you are walking by the city, go and drink a coffee just next to it, dont go there, you will have a horrible time. The service is a total disaster, the women is so unrespectful and the guy is not the best neither. But I will focus in the girl, we wanted to pay and we didn’t speak french, so she was arguing that the french of a friend is horrible. Also at the moment of paying, as my friend didn’t speak english, I almost sure she kept the euro of him, however I cannot confirm this. Since we arrived is like she didn’t want to serve us, is better to put a letter that she is not having a good day outside the restaurant and save our time. Only visited this place for drinks while walking through Dinan. Thursday was lovely, we were greeted by a really nice waiter and we enjoyed the scenery, second day after deciding to stop again to Dinan for a drink we were this time met by a very rude waitress that after taking our order asked us to pay on the spot, which no problem I offered to pay, to which she snarkely responded that she didn't have the card machine with her and I could afterwards which left me confused. Eventually decided to drive back to St Malo, went in the cafe to pay and we were asked what we consumed, which we answered to and we were met with a mistrust and the person asked for confirmation from the rude...

I have stayed here several times over the last couple of years and have always received a friendly welcome. It is run by Robert and Mickel (father and son). The location is superb and close to many good bars and restaurants. Parking is also available close by at a reasonable cost. There are no tv sets in the room but if that's what you are looking for then you are here for the wrong reason as the clientele make the entertainment. The prices are extremely favourable and the hotel is kept very clean. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
