Hostellerie Bellevue — Hotel in Gourdon

We were staying with friends in this area and wanted to take them out for a meal. The choice of venues is not super-abundant but they thought this would be good - and we were not disappointed. ||||Just before Easter we thought the dining room would be quiet - and it was - with just two other tables occupied. We were shown to a good table with a view from the nearby window. The service was very good. Several of us started with Mussels and Scallops in a Creamy Sauce and three of us then enjoyed fresh-water fish, (Sanda?) with vegetables. The Hotel looked very well-kept and organised. We would go here again. If you go, allow time to look around Carennac which has some really delightful houses and buildings.||||We did not see the bedrooms - so I cannot comment on...

Had a really lovely stay here. The two owners in particular are really excellent. They manage both the restaurant and the hotel. Our room had a great view and it had been newly renovated. The breakfast had lots of fresh options and all the hot drinks you could think of. The bed and the pillows weren't the most comfortable leaving me with a very stiff neck and we were kept awake most of the first night by a baby crying as the walls were quite thin which is why I have only rated...

When we arrived, the woman in reception was obviously unwell. She was coughing and spluttering. She should not have been customer facing or, at least, she should have been wearing a mask. We live in the middle of nowhere and only went away for one night and she gave me Covid!!!||Also, the internet was down.||On the plus side, it was lovely to hear at least 5 clock towers striking from our room (and they had the sense to disable them...
