Residhotel Villa Maupassant — Hotel in Grasse

I will take some time to write even more detailed review for this place, but for now:

it was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING stay for us.

Inconvenience:

Highly poor customer service and lack of professional communication, limited reception hours, no response on calling them.

3 hours before checkin they sent and email to make payment online otherwise they would not share the check-in details. Then I called them at least 20 times(during reception hours) but no one picked the call.

I already used my credit card for booking, but they asked me to come to reception between 15:00 to 19:00 to pay for the room, instead of charging my credit card. They made me come back to hotel just to pay deposit and pay for rooms, disturbing my holiday itinerary in cannes. They made us panic at the last minute before checkin-in.

VERY VERY FRUSTRATING

Accommodation:

Pathetic, old, disgusting bathrooms and toilets, no maintenance at all, the sofa bed was so old that one of the plank came out and my child almost sank into the sofa bed and hurt the elbow.

Toilet flush tank had no lid on that which was disgusting beyond imagination (see photo) and the water was dripping continuously.

Bath tub and sink drains were clogged and water was draining very slowly.

They should remove the word “Hotel” from this listing. Even a private B&B would probably provide better accommodation.

STAY AWAY..!!!

To the owners of this property:

Spend some money and make those apartments...

This hotel is the most discusting place I have ever stayed in, firstly who ever is cleaning this place should get fired because the rooms were vile, secondly the photos of the hotel are extremely inaccurate and false if I knew that it looked like that I would have never stepped food inside, first of all check in is super late at 4pm, the room wasn’t cleaned trash wasn’t taken out, floors weren’t cleaned the sheets in the bed smelled, there was no aircon, the light switches didn’t turn on in the bedrooms, the front door was brown and was dragging on the floor when opening and closing it, the bathroom floor was disgusting i had to have shoes on when walking around the apartment, there was mould in the bathroom and a draw fell out as we went inside the bathroom, the bath floor was dirty, stained and tiles all around the apartment were cracked. When I asked the lady in reception to switch rooms and told her everything she firstly wasn’t chocked or sorry she said that all the rooms look like that and that she knows the state of the room and that nothing can be done about that. Honestly please go somewhere else this isn’t a place anyone should spend their money on staying...

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL !!! DO NOT BOOK A NIGHT HERE. I was supposed to stay at this hotel for three days with my friend. I booked a room for three nights. The website told me that I would receive an email but I didn’t. As it was the weekend I waited until Tuesday to call them and ask if they can see my reservation. The women is so horrible. She didn’t even care to answer me properly. She just said no. I had to ask thousands of questions to understand why she can’t see my reservation and the women wasn’t even bothered to tell me correctly why I haven’t received a confirmation email. This was not the first time I booked at this hotel. I also booked a couple of weeks before and I put my dates down and then I receive a confirmation email but the reservation was for the wrong dates so I had to call them and tell them that they’ve made a mistake but at the end I just lost my money! The only reason I booked again was because I was running out of time and had to book a hotel...
