Unfortunately, a Disappointing Experience – the Residence Does Not Meet Expectations
My stay at this residence was, unfortunately, very disappointing. I had booked expecting to find an apartment in a well-kept setting, with air-conditioning and a pool, but reality was quite different.
Booking Error and Attempt to Switch Rooms When booking, I understood that the apartment had air-conditioning. In fact it did not—my mistake, which I discovered only on arrival. I asked to change rooms but was offered another equally rundown apartment with air-conditioning yet no view and a hefty €400 surcharge. I therefore kept the original unit, which at least had a beautiful sea view.
Condition of the Apartment The apartment was cramped and dated: narrow, low corridors; a tiny bedroom with a bed marketed as “double” but barely larger than a single and a half. The headboard had collapsed and was never repaired despite my report.
The bathroom was very small, with mold on the ceiling and damaged fittings, plus the unpleasant presence of cockroaches. The sitting area, though its small sofas were comfortable, was too tight to be usable—we had to move the furniture to create a bit of space. The balcony offered a lovely view but was dirty with bird droppings and in poor condition: a grimy plastic table and peeling paint on the ceiling.
The kitchen was modest and very worn, with a small fridge that barely cooled. However, the main appliances (hob, sink, dishwasher) were functional.
Residence Facilities and Overall Condition The entire residence is in poor sanitary condition. The entrance is dirty, with persistent unpleasant odors. Lifts are often unclean, and rubbish is left in the corridors by other guests. The car park is handy but extremely tight—tricky for a medium-sized car.
Staff and Assistance Some staff members were helpful—one young woman in particular was very kind—but overall assistance was scarce and inattentive.
The Area The residence lies in a suburban part of Cannes: not particularly attractive, yet well served with a bakery, supermarket, pharmacy, fishmonger, and laundry all within walking distance. For electric cars there is a charging point nearby, though not on the premises.
Positive Note Cannes itself is wonderful—the sea and nearby excursions are beautiful. The sea view from the apartment was the only real positive of the stay.
Conclusion I cannot recommend this residence. The photos and online descriptions do not match reality. If you choose it solely for the pool, note that it looks nice but, in my case, was never used. An experience to forget in a city that deserves far better...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of being allocated apartment 530 in this complex. This place is not fit for humans to stay. It’s filthy dirty and full of cockroaches. I arrived at 10pm and could not gain access to the building. Despite ringing the intercom nobody answered. After 45 mins a resident let me inside to retrieve the keys from the lockbox located outside the apartment door on the 5th floor.||I had paid an additional 15 Euros per night to park my hire car but you cannot get access to the underground garage without first getting inside the building to retrieve the remote control to open the double barriers to enter the car park. This was also located in the lockbox on the outside of the door of apartment 530.|The car park is not signposted and it was again time consuming driving around looking for the parking space in the dark. As a single woman I did not feel safe in this dark basement at night on my own.||Once I finally gained access to the apartment the real nightmare began. I was greeted by cockroaches scurrying across the floor. Despite another additional charge of 40 Euros for bedding and towels the bed was not made up and there was no bottom sheet available to fit the bed. I contacted the Management via WhatsApp and got a message telling me it was too late to bring any bedding or bug spray! Not that I would have sleep in the bed once I saw just how dirty he mattress was and covered in someone else’s hair!. There is not even any soap in the bathroom to wash your hands after using the toilet! The bath had pubic hair in the tub! The towels I was charged the extra fee for were smelly, old and heavily stained - again unusable. The bathroom was filthy - I have attached pictures. The sheets that were finally brought were old and torn (again see pictures). The curtains had holes in them and the balcony door did not lock. The people in the room next door were fighting the whole night and there was a dog was barking loudly.||As soon as it got daylight I got out of there as quickly as possible. Even thought I could not exit this hell hole because again you need a key fob to get out of this building which is impossible if you have to leave the keys inside the lock box on the 5th floor! Once again I had to wait for another resident to leave to get out of hell!||I complained to the management and asked for a refund but the point blank refused to give me any money back even for the unused towels and bedding or the carpark! They then stopped replying to any of my...
Read moreI know the price is low but run away from this place. Its not worth it. It started before we even checking in. They have no reception or person at a desk. Its random apartments in a building. To get your keys you need to get ahold of a person on the phone first. It’s a scavenger hunt. They didn’t have our room ready because the AC was broken so we got an "upgrade" to a sea view. We walk through the gate, and it looks like a prison. Lights don’t work so you’re walking through dark hallways to find your room. We get to our room, and we open the door to the smell of bathroom and smoke. Rooms were supposed to be smoke free. It was about 85 degrees in the room, and we immediately turned the AC on both in the living room and the bedroom. The vents looked like they haven’t been cleaned in years. Dust and lent buildup on all surfaces so we know our breathing was going to be affected and we weren’t going to stay here. Called with no answer. Started to look at other hotels in the area while we looked around the apartment. Doorknobs were coming off doors. lightbulbs missing in rooms so you couldn’t see, and lamps wouldn’t turn on. We took our shoes off when we came in and there was a black film on our socks just walking around for 5 min. roaches!!! we went into the bathroom and roaches were crawling out of drains in shower and sink. Opened the door to the toilet and figured out why the room has a hint of urine smell. The toilet room reeked of urine smell. There were Holes in the walls in every room like they had an MMA fight in every room. We returned the keys to the black key return box on the bottom of the building since we didn’t have a person to talk to. Apparently, there is a process you need to go through to drop keys off and that wasn’t their box. They didn’t refund us any money. charged a $400 deposit we didn’t get back. And charged us $600 for lost keys since we dropped them in the wrong box. STAY AWAY and RUN. I would’ve rather slept at the bus station and felt safer. This isn’t a hotel. It’s a poorly run Airbnb with none of the guarantees you get from Airbnb. I’m sure they can’t be on Airbnb since their places are so...
