If you come to Alpe d'Huez to ski, Le Dome is in an ideal location, just a few minutes walk from the main lift. ||Parking is easy - at the hotel or in the public car park opposite. Once parked, you can be assured of a warm welcome!||Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large bed, TV and a table and chairs to sit at (we had opted not to have a balcony as the weather was poor!). The bathroom was clean and well equipped - with a decent bath for a post ski soak.||The half board dinner was super - generally four courses (inc cheese and dessert), all well cooked and presented. One night we were offered a choice of raclette or fondue. It's been a while since i've had a fondue as i tend to think of them as heavy, but this was really good and served with a big salad and a generous plate of charcuterie - loved it! We specifically contacted them prior to arrival to request we would receive dinner and advised them that our bus was stuck in traffic and we would be late yet when we arrived the owner denied all knowledge of our correspondence. The room was very basic but a decent size (could do with a bit of upgrading). On day 3 the woman "told me off" as apparently I had refused the cleaners entry in to our room. Rooms do not need cleaned every day! The breakfast is the same as all other hotels and dinner was ok. The ski room is a very smelly small room which is locked and unlocked from reception so tough luck if there is no-one at reception and it is extremely annoying when the door closes and locks every time you go in and out. The only good thing about this hotel is the location as it is right...
