A little gem!||Location|About 5min walk to the centre. We were looking for secure parking as we had a car full of suitcases, bikes and paraphernalia of a month away. The parking was behind a locked gate and was totally secure. Parking in town is very tricky so being able to park securely was key in selecting this accommodation. However this accommodation is far beyond just secure parking||Room|They offer two rooms only. Our room was in annex with it's own entry. Nice and quiet. The room was well appointed, modern, clean and stylish. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom and toilet were modern, clean and functional. Can't fault the sleeping arrangements ||Breakfast|Very authentic French. Loved it. On top of the usual coffee, croissants etc, the host had made yoghurt, jams (loved the green tomato jam - first for us) and homemade cakes. A fantastic fruit salad as well.|The breakfast room is full of unusual art. Normally on a dash to the coast we would only spend a few mins fueling our bodies but it was so good we spent a good hour on it. ||Outside Space|A couple of terraces if you fancy eating or relaxing outside ||Hosts|Bruno & Catherine.... they were extremely welcoming. Offered us a cold mint green tea on arrival. Mint from her garden obviously. There were other drinks available but the tea was fantastic. |They got the balance between being welcoming and giving us own space just right.||Town|Stunning. The chateau at night was beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't leave enough time to go round it. The village is full of narrow streets and restaurants. Best to book ahead for food. We ate at L"Ecluse. Highly recommended if you like gastro food. It was a taste bud explosion. Cost us about 115euros for two. Would have been cheaper if we could have just stopped ordering more!||We will go again|Really hope so. Amboise is beautiful. It goes without saying we will aim to stay with Bruno & Catherine again. Shame we can only...
Read more😊: We loved our stay. Our hosts, Catherine and Bruno, were very attentive, spoke English (our French is very basic), very helpful with restaurant suggestions as well as castle selection (since we had limited time yet so much to see). The property is walking distance to the center of town as well as Amboise Castle. Breakfast was included as well as home made cakes made by Catherine. I got her recipe for her Lemon Cake. The apartment was very spacious for myself, my husband and our son. I will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to stay in Amboise or close to many of the castles and not necessarily looking to be in the big town of Tours.. 😢: There was not one thing we...
Read moreIn 22 hotels over 30 nights in France, this was our favorite place to stay. Catherine and Bruno are excellent hosts and extremely personable. Our room (Lisa), is a relatively new add-on to the main house and is completely separate, with its own entry and patio. The room is in perfect condition, very modern, large, and spotlessly clean. ||||We stayed two nights and the breakfasts were fantastic, with different homemade jams, cakes, etc., each day. The free parking is easy and a big plus. The location is excellent and just a short walk to the edge of the town. ||||This was our fifth or sixth stay in Amboise over the years and we'll certainly stay here again if we visit...
