I just ate at the worst IKEA cafeteria in the world. I have been coming here since its opening and the restaurant continuously changes. They almost never have veggie balls (not the vegetable balls but the vegan, meat-like balls). Today, I came with my family to eat and was surprised to find how dirty and poor the restaurant has become. The platters on which you put your forks and plates are not cleaned, extremely dirty. There were of course no veggie balls and the lady serving refused to give me more than 8 balls "you can only have 8 for the vegetable balls." I've never heard of this stupid rule. The server next to the lady did not ask me if I wanted anything with my vegetable balls and was quite rude. The person at the register continuously embarasses customers by telling them to put the platters on the register and then telling them not to put the platters on the register. The people working in the restaurant below do not wear gloves when serving the hot dogs and other food. The restaurant below no longer has as many topping options and the sauce boxes were empty. Restaurant- restaurant has been renovating since May. Two months and work hasn’t been done. We have been there since its opening there used to have computers for ordering which was perfectly. No queues no ordering problems. And now there is always long queue for ordering and only one pathetic counter for paying. And one lady who works at the counter who cannot really keep the speed up with numerous orders. Everything has downgraded from computers to manual operations.
The cashier computer could not capture my IKEA member details for whatever reasons. (Can’t do any key in with phone number or member number) Thus, we were not able to benefit into any drinks n kids meal offer for summer visit. Totally ridiculous mess.
Carpark- despite the fact with a receipt of purchase we can exit for free. However, it never work. What is the point asking customers to spend and the receipt never work.

Read moreReopened restaurant is much much worse than before. Now you don't know what do you have to choose from (and only muffins with juice/coffee in the morning). In addition you don't know the price you will be charge before the cash desk which is only one for the entire queue as well as one coffee machine. BEFORE: you have full meal in 10 minjtes knowing the full price. NOW: 20 minutes to have a coffee with bun and full queue of unhappy customers. I really hope that this isn't actual reopening but just a timely solution while you redesign the restaurant.
Update on 28.12.23. Just as I expected the new version of the restaurant is worse. When you try to pick enfant menu you must ask personnel what is included and where to find everything. And even after that I was overcharged by 2.5 eur. Just because the lady counted first enfant menu as an actual enfant menu and the second one as separate parts at full price. Of course she didnt tell me anything and I see that only in my receipt... I suppose the new system works now just as...
