I stayed at the Radisson Hotel Nice Airport for one night in September 2024. The room was fantastic, the location was nicely situated near the airport, but the service was just okay, and the waitstaff at the restaurant was subpar. My United flight was canceled two days in a row so United put me up at the Radisson for one night and the nearby Sheraton for the other night. During the first night, I wished I was at the Sheraton but on the second night, after actually seeing the Sheraton, I was wishing I was back at the Radisson. The two are fairly comparable, with the Radisson having better rooms but the Sheraton having better amenities and a slightly better location. I really liked my room - it was modern, clean, quiet, and spacious. During my 2.5 week visit to France/Italy which included 8 different hotels, the Radisson easily had the best room. Lighting was good, the bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space to put all of my stuff. The bathroom and shower were great too. From the window you can see the airport and distant shoreline (image included). The only minor flaw was the old glass ring stains on the bathroom counter. Each time I entered the hallway, I was overwhelmed with the smell of cleaning solvent. I initially disliked it, but after experiencing the alternative - at the Sheraton, I smelled smoke each time I entered the hallway, I far prefer the cleaning solvent! The Radisson is conveniently located near the airport. You can easily walk to the terminals in about 7-10 minutes (Google Maps has you go south and then east, but I think going east and then south is a much better walking route). If you want to go to downtown Nice, then you can easily walk to the bus (the Aéroport / Promenade stop for the #12, which travels along the promenade). To get to Antibes, Cannes, or Monaco, take the train (Nice Saint-Augustin station). The hotel is in a business area near the airport and there really isn't much in the immediate area (the same applies to nearby airport hotels). You can easily take a bus to visit the many museums in downtown Nice (ranging from 20 minutes to Musee Massena to 60 minutes to Musee Matisse). It's a 15 minute train ride to Antibes or a 30 minute train ride to Cannes or Monte Carlo (Monaco). Dinner was just okay. United gave me a 32 euro voucher which strangely could not be used for any drinks (even soda). I wanted to order a main course and then something from the kids menu to meet the 32 euro limit but they would not let me order from the kids menu. I ordered the rigatoni (okay, but I wished I went with the burger), some fries (delicious), a scoop of chocolate ice cream (good), and two scoops of strawberry and cherry sorbet (delicious, especially the cherry). The restaurant was overwhelmed with travelers (not enough tables for everyone), the waiter was repeatedly slow to provide service, and forgot some of the dishes that were ordered. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food options (two images included). Hot foods (eggs, bacon, roasted potatoes, beans), a yogurt bar, fresh fruits, cereal, bread and pastry options, juices, and espresso machines. Although United paid for my stays at the Radisson and Sheraton, the Radisson didn't give points or night credit while the Sheraton did. The Sheraton has a better and bigger pool (on the roof), good conference rooms, nice views from the rooftop bar, and a slightly closer location. Nonetheless, I would still choose the Radisson over the Sheraton because of the better rooms. And both are far better than the nearby Holiday Inn Express Nice - Grand Arenas or the farther Best Western Hotel Journel Aéroport- St Laurent du Var.

Terrible hotel - stay away. It shouldn't have any star. The first photo distorts the reality - mainly the photo shows the roundabout, which is an element of the city, not the hotel area. The hotel area is closed - you cannot drive to the hotel - you can only enter with your luggage from the garage or park on the street and run with your luggage, which is problematic, e.g. . during the rain. The parking lot should be closed - only for small compact cars - the staff does not inform about it. We called twice before booking, stating what car we would use and we were informed that the garage was very large. When we got there, it turned out that there was a sign that it was intended for cars up to 1.8 m high. We entered the garage, but we couldn't leave through the entrance gate - it was too narrow - and we arrived in a standard sedan. The result was an entrance gate with scratched sides. The hotel is dirty - the windows haven't been washed for probably several years, a general mess. The TV didn't work in the room. The handles from the balcony doors have been removed - so the only alternative for ventilation is air conditioning. The swimming pool area, despite the indicated opening hours, is closed, without giving a reason. There are no basic products at breakfast - e.g. when the water for tea ran out, the staff informed us that the water limit had been used up... Point 10, despite several tables being occupied, the staff noisily removed all the bain-marie with food and asked the guests to leave. Fried egg, omelette for an additional fee - 8-12 euros. The worst point is the service - unfriendly, devoid of empathy, some of the staff only speak French. After 18 hours of travel, I asked to park my car in front of the hotel - the garage was too small - or to help me book an empty airport parking lot across the street. The staff refused to help. Unfortunately, upon check-in, we paid for the entire stay in advance. We left after 1 day and of course the hotel refused to refund us for the 4 unused nights. What's more, 500 euros were blocked on the card. Never again !!!!

Most important Tips : knock your room door before opening, and maybe hear if there're still guests inside before you open the hotel room. A hotel is a convention of trust. When the reception hands you the key to your room you expect the room to be your private space for the duration of your stay. So if any other person holds the key to your hotel room (aside from the hotel employees), you can imagine there's a sense of betrayal of that trust. Yet that is what happened when our group tour checked in for our stay, we were given keys where there're still guests inside of our designated room numbers. Yes that is a plural S in my last sentence, because the hotel managed to give us not only one room that is still occupied, but 4 rooms. We get yelled at at a couple of rooms though because there's still literally people doing things inside the room, while the other two rooms we opened still have guests luggage and shoes. I can only imagine the shock if we're to be in their position. The reception managed to find us other rooms (that is still vacant) although they said the hotel was overbooked. The hotel itself is nice with good amenities and good fixtures. We've had Rump steak for our group dinner the second night, the doneness of the steaks varies from person to person. While I'm lucky enough to enjoy the medium doneness (and the steak 🥩 itself is delicious), other group members aren't so lucky with medium well or well-done steaks, resulting with hard to chew unenjoyable steaks. I can only imagine the chef must've had hard time controlling the doneness of 25+ plate of steaks at almost the same time. On the other hand, kudos for the waiter that serve us that night, for he is quick and efficient in providing us services, although I only see him by himself.

As solo female travellers visiting France for the first time, my mother opted to book with this hotel as it is a familiar hotel to us back home. |My mother contacted the hotel 24 hours in advance via email to ask if we could get picked up from the Aeroport or if the hotel could recommend a taxi service or alternative transport as we were arriving on a late evening flight. We had no response from the hotel despite giving them 24 hours notice, we had to make our way on foot with heavy luggage after spending the day travelling. |Yazid the desk assistant was having a very heated argument with another staff member when we finally arrived to check in, this was in front of a lobby with several other guests which we found highly unprofessional. |When he eventually allowed us to come forward to check in we provided our booking details, Yazid advised that despite we had booked a twin room via Expedia that there was no twin room available and that Expedia were at fault for allowing us to book a room which was not available. Exhausted from travelling we had no choice but to accept a twin room as we had nowhere else to go and it was very late at night. |We were checked in, provided with keycards, we weren't shown any of the facilities in the hotel any of the staff, we had to find them for ourselves. |The keycard for our room didn't work, we had to return down 7 floors to the lobby with our heavy luggage and we were advised that this had been resolved. Returning back to the 7th floor we still could not access the room, it was just by luck a staff member was on the floor and allowed us into the room. |The next morning around 9am we went downstairs to start our holiday and visit some of the places on our itinerary. |We asked at reception if there was a twin room available and Quallete at the desk was able to provide us with a twin room which we found odd considering we were told just hours earlier none were available. Quallete went above and beyond, held our luggage in the storage room until we returned from our day trip. |We moved our luggage to the twin room, two single beds were provided. The under sheets did not fit the beds which resulted in them coming off during the night and disturbing our sleep. I discovered that the mattress I was sleeping on was soiled by a previous guest with what looked like blood. |I have an autoimmune condition which causes a weakened immune system, it was simple not good enough. We felt the staff, in particular Yazid were very dismissive and argumentative towards any of the issues we experienced during our stay. |We decided not to tell the staff about the mattress but documented it with pictures as staff were not in the slightest bit bothered. |There were no complimentary snacks, fresh water, hot drink apart from one single bottle of water placed in the room daily. The vending machine was poorly stocked and out of order for the majority of our stay. The restaurant only sold large meals, the bar had no snacks and we were advised that the nearest store was over a mile away.|We went out for the evening on Tuesday night and when we returned we were met with a strong smell of raw sewage at the lobby, not a great impression for guests who are coming to stay at this hotel. On returning to our room after spending some time at the bar we opened our room door again to be greeted by a strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom which was making the sleeping area also smell badly. |The next morning I went down to the lobby to advise the staff of this, Yazid advised that he would have someone come to the room to check this for us. We were leaving for a day trip and he advised this would be resolved by the time we returned. This was not the case, nobody had visited the room as the smell was very strong when we returned to the room, windows could not be open so there was no way to ventilate the area to ensure that the smell could disburse. |We also witnessed a large rat running from the restaurant area one evening while having drinks, this put us off eating anything from the hotel...the staff members were very unphased by this as a couple of them were standing and witnessed this. Other guests seen this too and we're in quite a bit of shock as they were eating from the restaurant at the time. We understand the hotel is in a city and near the Aeroport but this should be controlled especially when guests are eating at the restaurant. |We were offered a room change on our second last evening but we felt that this was too much upheaval especially when we had items packed and we needed to rest as we were changing hotels as we did not want to extend our stay at the hotel.|We changed to another 4 star hotel in the vicinity on Saturday and were welcomed with open arms, provided fantastic service in clean, hygienic surroundings, complimentary snacks, drinks and very happy and motivated staff which is such a contrast from the service we received at the Radisson. |If you are planning to book a stay at this hotel please make sure that you are aware of the poor reviews, ignorant staff and poor hygiene. Hotel admin team who deal with complaints are very dismissive about the service and the responses provided are poor and placed blame on paying guests. |My mother contacted Expedia several times to have this resolved, the hotel refused to hold any accountability or provide any form of compensation for the service received. She had to escalate the issues and Expedia advised the booking was confirmed as a twin room and the hotel were not being honest about the availability. |We both have over 30 years of customer service experience, have visited many 4 and 5 star hotels in several countries around the world and we have never received such poor service as we did at Radisson. Expedia have provided a refund and compensation but we will be contacting the Radisson group to take our complaint further as it was simply...

I so wanted to like this hotel, as having stayed in Raddison Hotels previously, you get to know what to expect. I am here at the moment with my son and two friends to watch the football, and we flew in this morning from London and despite me sending messages yesterday asking for an early check in if possible, I was completely ignored. My husband tried calling the hotel several times today, and every time he said hello, they hung up. ||We arrived extremely tired after such an early flight and we could see the hotel when we came out of the airport, only it wasn’t so easy to get to, and sadly there are no directions.||When we went to check there were three members of staff on the check in desks and not one of them bothered to smile. I was immediately asked for id and then a paper was put in front of me to sign - small talk was definitely out the question. I asked if our room happened to be ready and I was told no. I asked if my emails had been received and the lady shrugged her shoulders and told me check in is at 3pm, the time now was 12:30pm. I asked if there was anything that could be done and she replied, yes, pay €45 Euros and suddenly our room was available. ||Our friends who are here for 2 nights were told the same thing. Being hot and tired we chose to pay the money. ||We went to eat in the restaurant, where the food was nice and the staff very friendly.||Returning to the hotel, we asked at reception for directions to the train station and we were “referred” to another member of staff who didn’t go out of his way to make the instructions clear. ||My friend asked the gentleman if it was possible to have some extra creamers in their room and was told, 2 creamers for 2 people !!! She half smiled and explained that they had drunk one coffee, which was extremely strong and he looked at her like she had just killed his pet rabbit. ||He then walked away and spoke to another member of staff who too turned and looked at us like we were crazy. I mean when you’re spending £200 a night on a very basic room, with beds that don’t even hqve fitted sheets on, you’d think they could afford to give you more than two tiny creamers.||Meanwhile there is extensive digging works going on outside the window. Something they didn’t both to tell us about.||Feeling quite sick at the moment, as when I woke, the bed sheets were completely off the bed and there are stains and sign of wear (bobbles everywhere) on one of the mattresses.||Just got back from breakfast where the glasses were warm and the plates were cold. ||Not really much on offer.
