I am writing this review separately from my overall review of the Sheraton Nice Airport, as that is the appropriate thing even though this restaurant (and supposed Room Service) resides within the property. As you will see from the posted photo, Room Service states it's available 24 hours a day, but the menu on the screen reflects otherwise. This was the first sign of trouble. So, I called Room Service (restaurant) from my room multiple times - never an answer. This prompted me to call the Front Desk, and they recommended I come down to place the Room Service order, which I did. Upon reaching the entrance of the restaurant, I was greeted by the 'manager' . . . let's call him *Mr. Empty Suit*. He tried to seat me, but I told him I just wanted to put in a Room Service order of the Linguine alle Vongole. I gave him my room number, and expected the dinner to be delivered between 30-45 minutes since it wasn't busy for a Tuesday night. After waiting for one (1) hour, I decided to call 'Room Service/restaurant' again - no answer - and my calls were finally re-routed to the hotel Front Desk (again). They tried to re-order the same dish and asked for my patience during that time, which I tried. Thirty minutes later and no food, no status update, the unanswered phone calls. Needless to say, I was pretty hot at this point. Once again, I had to walk down to the lobby to find out what was going on. The Front Desk assistant walked over with me to the restaurant to see why they weren't answering the phone and the status of my now late order. Mr. Empty Suit explained he got the room number wrong. Okay, that happens - but what did he do to try and rectify the situation by sourcing the correct room number? Zero, nada, rien - he did NOTHING. So at his point, over 90 minutes later and a supposed retry at the dish, he said his employee just ran my food up to the room. I told him, and the Front Desk assistant again, I was no longer hungry and that I would order from their competition. Mr. Empty Suit couldn't care less, and his silent contempt was palpable to all who were there. He took laziness to a whole new level, which is why I will never return, and that's just sad. It is my hope that the hotel does something to ensure accountability for their broken Room Service offering. Please check out my review of the Sheraton Nice Airport separately. Sorry this one ran a bit longer than other reviews I post. The savvy traveler deserves to know what to expect with this mediocre experience.

Decidedly unimpressed with La Table des Suds. We were staying at the Sheraton and following an excruciatingly long day on the previous day decided to just eat at the hotel. Grave mistake. The service is okay - a bit on the slow side and a touch snarky but my main issue was with the meal. I'm Canadian and a burger connoisseur in the land of Alberta beef and the offering here left me beyond underwhelmed. I carefully instructed the server to ensure the meat was well done (medium steak is appealing to me but ground beef? no thanks). Yet when the meal arrived although the exterior looked sufficiently grilled the inside was quite pink. Forced myself to eat the perimeter of the burger but could not stomach the red interior. Frankly its difficult to find a decent burger in Europe to begin with and I should probably cut my losses on even trying. But this one was especially disappointing.

The food was a bit bland and dull. The penne pesto lacked flavor, and the pasta was overcooked. The club sandwich was also quite lackluster, but the fries were very good. Service staff were efficient and friendly. I guess the quality of food is what you’d expect from an airport hotel.
