I've stayed at this hostel, and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The rooms looked like something out of an abandoned industrial warehouse where someone had randomly thrown in some beds. The place reeked of insecurity and neglect. On my first night, I fell asleep quickly, but sometime around midnight, I was startled by a couple who entered the room with a flashlight. I was half-asleep and terrified, I couldn’t even move. There was only one other person in the room besides me. The couple approached my bed first, then moved on to hers. I don’t fully remember what happened next, but eventually, they left.||||The next morning, I woke up feeling absolutely awful. The other girl in the room called the police because she had been robbed of 300 euros. Luckily, I had all my valuables in a locker, but the thought of what could have happened to me, especially as a woman, is horrifying. This wasn’t just about theft, there was a very real threat to our personal safety.||||The following night, I managed to stay at a friend’s place, but I still had a reservation for the next night. When I went to reception to explain what had happened and how unsafe I felt, I expected some basic decency. At the very least, they could have canceled my reservation and refunded my money, given the circumstances. Instead, they showed ZERO empathy, refused to help, and acted as if it wasn’t their problem. They claimed that they change the door code every few days, but another guest who had been staying there for a while said they never changed it. On top of that, the door to our room didn’t even close properly!||||Their response was beyond disgraceful. It was cold, careless, and irresponsible. If I didn’t file a formal complaint, it was only because I haven't had time. Honestly, this place should not be allowed to operate. Their lack of basic safety measures and complete indifference to what happened is absolutely unacceptable.||||DO NOT STAY HERE. What happened to me and the other guest was bad enough, but it could have been much worse. This hostel doesn’t care about its guests or their safety. Even if it’s “just a hostel,” there are ways to treat people, with empathy and responsibility, and they completely failed. They don’t deserve your money or trust. This place is a disgrace, and they should be shut down. Stay away if you value...
Read moreThe hostel's name is justified by the stains from spilled "coffee" on the mattress. Not only does this hostel have bedbugs, be prepared that despite the fact that you have paid for your stay, you may be asked to leave the hostel for several hours, as the pest control is carried out during the guests' stay! While the person spraying the chemical was fully dressed in a protective suit and respirator, the maid wears a protective mask at all times, guests have to inhale chemicals that take several days to dissipate, not hours, as the mattresses are soaked in chemicals, while the comfort of the guests is completely ignored! Due to the spraying of chemicals on the mattresses, which for this reason were damp and already dirty, when I checked in , (the pillow and blanket with the bed linen ALREADy worn, which is in a crumpled state(!), are stored in lockers intended for storing guests' clothes and shoes.) Therefore, there is no guarantee that this bed linen will be changed after each guest! Not only are the lockers not suitable for using your personal lock, but you will also need to leave a deposit of 20 euros for renting a key! There was no elevator, and not only did the man at the reception refuse to help me carry my luggage to the third floor, saying he was "busy", but he, despite this, came up to shared room IMMEDIATEy AFTEr I carried my luggage to the third floor myself! On each floor there is one toilet (quite old and dirty), two shower stalls (of dubious cleanliness), one sink with a small mirror and a shelf, which is intended for guests from the shared room (where there are more than 10 beds) and guests from private rooms. Although you are unlikely to be checked in before the official check-in time, due to the lack of special rooms for storing luggage, guests leave their bags right in the common area (coworking) on the first floor. There is no refrigerator or shared kitchen in the hostel - there is only a small sink and a kettle (not very new). When checking out, despite my desire to hand over the guest's forgotten item to the reception, the girl at the reception winced and pointed to the trash can! Be prepared that forgotten items are...
Read moreVery bad experience. Story-time i guess. We had bed bugs. Didn’t see them till late at night. We found a lot of them. Service was almost completely closed. A guy was in the back behind closed doors so we knocked and he came. He could only write the problem down but not find an alternative room or anything that was even close to helping us at that moment. Saying ‘I have put a notification down, but as for tonight i am not able to help you any further’ after only writing something down and saying that we have to wait until tomorrow is not much of a help. Another hotel in the same street was open and the guy there helped us as if he was the one who had the bed bugs. Very helpful! Shoutout to the Green Hotel guy. Unfortunately it was full there, but he found another hotel nearby with a spare room for me and my partner. He gave us plastic bags in which we could put the ‘infected’ stuff. Then, at 00.30 in Paris, we walked through the streets in our improvised outfits -picked from clothes that weren’t full of bugs- to the other hotel. For me that meant walking shirtless. The next day we got help from another receptionist. With a lot of discussion we got the following: Plastic bags to put our baggage in, an apology letter as proof for insurance (written by the girl, but actually by chatgpt after seeing it on the screen) and a no for refunding the night because we left our bags in the room. The ones filled with bugs. You’re welcome for us trying to not spread the pest through the entire hostel, which had probably already happened. The last part is still not finalized as we’re still trying to get a refund for that night. Eventually had everything fixed but damn, it took a lot of time and work. Had a lovely vacation,...
