I stayed to attend an event at le Parc des Expositions, for which it was perfectly located at a 20 min walk away. |You would therefore think, at that location, they would cater for international guests, but the level of English speaking was the worst I have come across in my extensive travels across Europe, Africa, Asia and Middle East. |They said to call on arrival at the airport for a car. They leave to get you when you call, rather than be there waiting for your arrival. The instructions I got when I called was to go to ‘Departures, gate 12’ which obviously makes no sense, and they just repeated the same instruction over & over when I requested clarification. What they mean is Exit 12, near departures. Big difference....|The room was over furnished with one single and one double bed so there was no floor room at all and barely room to sit at the very small desk. |On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the daily clean very good, the shower excellent. The bathroom was clean and good, and the room was quiet and warm with a kettle and tea & coffee. There were three beds, but only three trouser hangers (1 broken) and three regular hangers in the tiny wardrobe space. |The restaurant offers a buffet including some suspect items obviously left over from the day before, and a very limited menu. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The hotel has the facilities and feel of a slightly above average budget hotel, but at far above a budget price. For my next trips I have found hotels in the city centre that look nicer, with better facilities, for less money, likewise near the exhibition centre. I won’t be...

Read moreAlthough the reviews on the internet were very positive, I am under the distinct impression those reviews were written by the owner (or friends of his). The entire hotel - including the rooms - has an unsettling strong odor/scent (room parfum?). The photo’s are not an accurate depiction of the hotel. The biggest difference is that it looked quit spacious, but in reality was very cramped. Almost no room to walk in the hotel room and the bathroom was so tiny, I was always touching the walls as there was no room (50cm?). The bathtub leaked, heating and airco is not possible at night because of the noise of the (older) device. Seen the pictures of the lovely ‘gym’ and sauna? Those are situated in the hallway in open view and therefore unusable. Upside: almost as good as new. Breakfast was ok, but lousy croissants. And aren’t French croissants one of the reasons for visiting Paris? Eggs are available, but have to be prepared on a stove by the guests themselves. Products like crepes will not be replenished. I asked the staff for a band aid – which was a challenge since the staff doesn’t speak English very well – and was told he would bring it to our room, but we never heard back or received a band aid. Also there was no knowledge of good (Asian) restaurants in the neighborhood, only 1 suggestion for a restaurant around the corner. On the other hand: parking was good (only €12 per night), the room was clean and no nuisance of outside noises. The bed was ok, but bring your own pillows as they are quit...
