It should be negative review. Terrible Booking Experience at booking.com with business and Poor Service – Do Not Recommend
I booked multiple rooms for my colleagues using a business account through Booking.com, and the experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish.
Ridiculously Overpriced The price I paid was 2 to 3 times higher than the price of my personal account(so I thought there would be better service, I blame booking.com) and the regular price shown on the day of check-in. In fact, the actual rate was only 100 dollars or less each night, But I paid 320 dollars. I spent over 10 hours completing the booking process, having to deal with 10 different payment links and 100 automatic emails sent by the hotel. It was chaotic and inefficient.
Misleading Property Info told after the strenuous booking process
No breakfast option No seating area on the ground floor No elevator access for the first two floors — a huge issue since we had luggage and elderly travelers. This important detail was only disclosed after payment.
Cancellation and Refund Issues I canceled one of the rooms within the allowed free cancellation window via Booking.com, and received confirmation. However:
The hotel refused to refund me, citing reasons that made no sense, also refused to provide the 2 rooms either.
I had to visit the hotel for 3 consecutive days to speak to the manager in person (while staying at another hotel nearby) before they agreed to refund.
Even then, the response was extremely slow. I had to follow up multiple times, and some of my refund queries were completely ignored.
Overall Disorganized booking and payment system Unclear policies and lack of transparency Poor communication Very slow customer support No accountability unless you show up in person
What should have been a simple business booking turned into a time-consuming and stressful ordeal. I felt misled, overcharged, and ignored. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel — especially if you're booking for a team or on...
Read moreI picked this hotel mainly because of its location and the photos looked nice, even for a single room. However, things took a turn for the worse when I asked to add breakfast to my booking. They told me the restaurant was under renovation, which wasn’t mentioned on the booking site. I wasn’t too bothered at first, but then check-in was a hassle. The staff member was rude and didn’t offer early check-in, so I had to leave my luggage and return later. The price I paid was way too high for the room I got, which had a tiny bathroom that was hard to fit into, and the toilet didn’t even have a door. The sink was also way too small for a hotel. Before I checked out, I asked if I could leave my luggage, and they said yes, but on the day I was leaving, the receptionist didn’t know about it because the storage was messed up by maintenance. There was a clear lack of communication! I also noticed that a French-speaking guest was treated much better than I was, even though I’m from the UK and only speak English. I didn’t even get an invoice for my stay; they just charged me when I arrived without any proof. It’s disappointing that in such a beautiful city like Paris, they treated foreigners rudely and with bias. I definitely won’t be coming back; this hotel doesn’t even...
Read moreLet’s start with the good: the man at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, making my check-in process quite smooth; the rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel was quiet. The accommodation was a short walk from the Olympiades metro station, making it accessible to Gare de Lyon for my early morning train.
The not-so-good: the bizarre layout of the hotel. I was in room 600 and it had no direct elevator. To get to the room, I had to exit the lobby and go back outside, follow the perimeter of the hotel, enter a passcode, haul my 20 kg bag up two flights of stairs, take not one but two different elevators to access the fifth floor, and then haul my bag up another flight of stairs.
Also, the WiFi did not work in my room. It only worked from my bathroom, which, for a twelve-hour stay, was not a big deal, but for those relying on WiFi, must be incredibly frustrating.
Despite the rooms and the WiFi, I would still recommend this hotel, mostly to solo travelers like myself who are able to navigate...
