This hotel is located in the 13th District. We had a triple room with balcony, consisting of a queen bed (feeling more like a full bed) and a single bed. The hotel lobby had a small station for water refilling and coffee and tea, but only during limited hours. When first entering the hotel room, there was a pungent odor, smelling like sewage that seemed to originate from the bathroom. The room was very stuffy, with the air conditioning broken despite the panel lighting up and making noise when interacted with. There was no air circulation in the room despite the hotel specifying that they had air conditioning. We were able to open the balcony door and a window, but note that there is no screen, as typical with French buildings. Be sure to bring your adapters for the wall outlets, for there are no direct USB connections. As for the bathroom, we were unable to eradicate the scent even after purchasing two air fresheners, and the smell was ever persistent. The shower had no form of a door, making the water go all over the floor, be prepared to use a majority of the towels for the floor of the bathroom. The shower also didn’t have any shelving to store your shower essentials. The size of the bathroom was more than adequate, however, it was designed poorly. The only shelf/countertop was located above the toilet, not an ideal place for your toiletries and difficult to access. The only towel rod is also located here on the wall. There was a towel hook near the shower, however, it is quite high, just like the towel rod, mirror, and the soap dispenser in the shower. Overall, it’s not the most ideal bathroom. There was plenty of space for the towel rod and countertop elsewhere. I would not stay in this hotel again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Transactions were made without prior notice. I made a booking through [booking.com](http://booking.com/) with the option of free cancellation and "pay at property/no prepayment". As I intended to pay at the property and not make any prepayment, I was taken by surprise when they attempted to withdraw nearly half of the total price from my card (89.10€/210). I specifically chose this property over other options because of the payment flexibility it offered, despite it being more expensive than some other choices. It is worth noting that property did not notified me about this transaction. Although I could understand that a certain amount may need to be processed after my cancellation deadline on 4 January, it was unexpected for them to do so on the same day as my booking. If you wished to verify the validity of my card, it would have been more appropriate to withdraw a reasonable amount with prior notice. If I had intended to pay the full amount of 89.10€ immediately, I would not have selected the no prepayment option and willingly paid additional charges. Trusting without proper communication is not an acceptable approach, especially considering that I have already provided my commitment by booking under my name, address, and personal information. Despite it being an available option, it is unreasonable to deduct half of the payment when the customer explicitly states their preference of not making an advance payment and agrees to pay a higher amount than the regular prices of other hotels.

I booked for 1 night with breakfast included on their official website, and I mentioned in my reservation that I will pay partially with a specific payment method ( that was accepted last year) + moreover I booked on the official ang got special offer to have a upgrade or late check out. Arrived at the property the receptionist didn't know how to manage this offer and he also refused my payment method ( and email could have been sent to me at least) . So because he doesn't know he said no upgrade and to see tomorrow for late check out. He also print my ID card even if I'm French , I thought it was no longer needed (rdpd rules) anyways . I enter to the room and I was so pissed: Tv was very small, strong odor of s*** coming from bathroom (I had to let the window of my room open for a long time as the smell was very bad) Next day I come to the reception as told to see for late check out : they offer me 30 min to 45 min of late check out (lool) . The morning receptionnist with long curly hair was facking nice attitude and doesn't care at all . at the end this person didn't warn the housekeeping so they were opening 3 times my door during this 45 min ... wasn't enjoyable. I used to stay in happyculture hotels but this one for me do not represent the group vibe no more. Very disappointed. Honestly ibis was next by and cheaper for better quality. I stay there the second night.

I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at Hotel Sanso in Paris, and I must say, it was a complete nightmare from start to finish. I have never encountered such a rude and arrogant receptionist (Noemy was her name) in all my travels. The level of disrespect and incompetence displayed by the hotel staff was truly astounding.

First and foremost, the hotel failed to provide us with the room we specifically requested when making our reservation. It was disheartening to discover that our preferences were completely disregarded, leaving us with an unsuitable room that did not meet our needs. The lack of attention to detail and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction was evident right from the start.

To make matters worse, the receptionist (Noemy) proved to be utterly unhelpful when we requested a second key for the second person in our room. It is standard practice for hotels to provide multiple keys for the convenience of their guests, but apparently, Hotel Sanso believes they are above such trivialities. The receptionist's dismissive and uncooperative attitude further highlighted their arrogance and lack of basic hospitality skills.

The overall demeanor of the staff at Hotel Sanso was nothing short of appalling. The receptionist's rudeness surpassed any level of professionalism one would expect in the hospitality industry. It seemed as though they took pleasure in belittling and frustrating guests, creating an extremely unwelcoming and unpleasant environment.

In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Sanso in Paris was a complete disaster. The receptionist's rudeness and lack of assistance left a lasting negative impression. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel if you value even a modicum of respect and decent customer service. Paris offers a plethora of accommodation options, and I am confident that there are far superior choices that will provide a more pleasant and enjoyable experience...

Dear Management Team at Sanso by HappyCulture,

I hope this message finds you well. I recently stayed at your hotel and wanted to share both some positive feedback and a concern regarding the service.

First, I want to sincerely thank Nacima and the rest of the team for their kindness and support. Nacima, in particular, was always smiling, helpful, and professional. She made our experience much more pleasant.

Unfortunately, I also experienced repeated unhelpful behavior from one of your staff members, Sirine (I believe that is her name). On several occasions, she was unwilling to assist and responded negatively without offering alternatives.

For example: • I asked for a wooden fork and spoon. She quickly said they were not available — but Nacima was able to provide them a few minutes later, which showed that Sirine didn’t make an effort to help. • Another time, I went to use the microwave on the first floor to heat a frozen pizza. I didn’t have a plate and didn’t know that one was needed. Sirine told me I couldn’t use the microwave that way. I politely asked if she could bring me a plate, and she said “no,” even though I believe plates are available in the office. • My mother then asked another staff member, who kindly tried to help and look for a plate — but Sirine returned and said firmly, again, “no, we don’t have,” even though that didn’t appear to be true.

Her tone and attitude felt cold and unwelcoming, especially in contrast to the other staff. This affected our experience during what was otherwise a comfortable stay.

Once again, thank you to Nacima and the rest of the helpful team. I hope this feedback will help improve consistency in customer service for future guests.

Kind...
