I found it difficult to decide on a rating but it was important to me to capture my thoughts here since so many others either loved this place or gave it a poor review for the size of the room. We stayed here for 3 nights in April and had two rooms to accommodate our older teen and ourselves. What was fine or good: Paris has small rooms so that was no problem and the location was great. The owners are very nice and the beds were comfortable. What brings me to a poor review are: Wifi did not work at all in rooms (important for a teen and when traveling - I am now over my data limit since this trip), if dealing with anyone other than owners there was a lot of confusion, there is construction both in the hotel and outside so not quiet, mold in bathroom, paper-thin walls so you hear everything from other rooms and hall and finally, despite paying in advance as we had to leave early on final day there was some mixup and we spent 15 minutes clarifying this with the owner. You want to review it higher because the owners are just kind individuals who do want to do a good job but the negatives outweighed the positives for us. That said, the price reflects a very cheap stay so as long as you do not try to convince yourself that it will be as cute as the pictures you could be satisfied as it is an extremely cheap way to stay in Paris as a family. Average would have been my rating without the...
Read moreWe stayed here for a few nights mid September. We've visited Paris a few times and my husband and I both agreed that the best part of this hotel was the location. It's very close to the Metro and there are many great restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was not great. The room was SO SMALL. I've stayed in hostel rooms bigger than the room we had here. There wasn't even enough room on the floor to open our suitcase all the way! Two people could not walk around the room at the same it was that small. The toilet was in a separate room from the shower, which I expected, but the toilet room was so tiny that you couldn't sit comfortably and shut the door all the way. There were cracks in the floor/walls with peeling paint and there were two rather large dips in the floor under the carpet. They seemed like holes that were never repaired and just had carpet installed over them. The breakfast is also a rip off; there are plenty of place to grab breakfast in the area for less than the cost of breakfast here. Next time I visit Paris I would absolutely stay in Montparnasse again but I would NOT stay at this...
