HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT BOOK HERE.
Got there last Saturday at 9pm only to find out that they don’t respect policies or reservations from third party websites. I had made a reservation through hotels.com (I have used them for years and have never had any issues with them), and this reservation was like any others Ive made, pay at the hotel and kept getting emails throughout the day as reminders of my upcoming stay. We get to the hotel at 9pm, after a long day of traveling and the guy at the front desk simply says there is no reservation under that name and began looking on the computer and making calls pretending to understand what has happened. I showed him my reservation on the hotels.com app and everything was still there. All of the sudden he found my reservation as being canceled. First he said something along the lines of “we are remodeling the hotel and dont have many rooms available, have been canceling lately”. Then he proceeded to tell me that they tried to charge my card to keep the reservation and it didn’t go through so they decided to cancel without letting ME KNOW or letting hotels.com know. Then he said they didnt have rooms for those days anyways. To make the story short, and after an hour of him making excuses, the people at hotels.com talking to him and him being unable to explain why my reservation got cancelled, I had to book another hotel on my own and get out of there.
ALSO, just beware because they DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH NOR SPANISH at this place, as they state on their info, so the whole thing got 10x more complicated because we couldn’t understand each other and he would YELL at me and yell at the hotels.com person that was trying to help solve this issue. It was a shit show.
At the end of the day, we finally got an uber to another hotel and we are so glad we did cause as we were at this le 55 montpatnasse hotel waiting, a guest came down the stairs to say that their heater was still not working. So I guess it was a blessing in disguise having to leave such horrible place.
Avoid this place at all costs!!! Save yourself from a disappointing and...
Read moreAbsolute joke of a hotel! Got done by bed bugs from the first night. Morning after we requested replacement of all sheets and covers expecting some sort of action. We received none! The manager on duty promised but did not deliver. It would seem large bumps, raises and bite marks was not evidence of bed bugs for management to act. However, morning of the 3rd day, I was awoken by a blood sucking parasites who was feeding on my neck. I grabbed the creature red handed and proceeded to the bathroom to take photos for evidence. Upon returning I found several of these insects roaming on the covers and quilts. We immediately reported to the manager on duty, inspected the room and moved us to another room. Outside one manager the other managers did not seem to care or empathise. For example, the 3rd day of a visit, another manager abruptly asked us if we had moved rooms, to which we said yes due to the bed bug found. To our amazement the directly accused us of bringing the bed bugs to the hotel either via air travel, bus or train. Furthermore, there was no apologies or any sign the hotel wished to refund/reimburse for our troubles. The hotel needs to undertake lessons in proper communication in order to serve its English speaking customers better-outside of one manager the other managers were grossly incompentent and lacked care or empathy you would expect from Hotel staff. Once discovering the issue we spent large part of the next few days washing and cleaning our ALL clothes on multiple occassions to avoid taking the bugs home in our luggage. This issue single handedly ruined our...
Read moreSmall cozy but well maintained hotel in Paris Rive Gauche 14th district, 15min walking distance from Gare Montparnasse and just meter away from metro line 13 station Pernety. Hotel surrounding is also convenient with all you need convenient stores/bakery close by.Room was a bit squeeze like most downtown hotels in Paris. 1.3-1.5m double bed with almost no space left on the side to put down and open more than 1 large luggage. Amenities are kept to the minimum but good enough for a good night sleep in Paris (bed was very comfortable and bugs free).Checked-in late in the evening and received a warm welcome from the Night Shift gentleman. He was very kind/polite and did engage with us to build relationship in a positive way. We saw him again the next day late afternoon so he does work long hours but still passionate. Hotel helped us to hold our luggages after check out which allowed us to enjoy the rest of the day in Paris for a bit of sightseeing/shopping. Careful though, bags are simply kept in the hallway/lobby with a simple paper tapped on it with our name… no proper luggage tag/room for safety but still better than nothing. I would more recommend for solo travelers or with light luggages due...
