"The manager" saw this review, then ask her envoy, the poor front desk person to convey her "sorry" to me. lol. What arrogance.
The manager then wrote back to me in perfect English saying that I lied about my experience, this is "the only time" this happened. Instead of addressing their obvious security problem which I took time to provide photos and suggestions, instead of making any meaningful gesture to a guest that waste time, money, energy, and emotion stress on 3 obvious mistakes - 1. Unsecured area of luggage storage - with security there won't be the stress of even suspecting a customer took the wrong luggage; 2. hotel staffs don't check bag tags, what are they for, especially given there are total 6-7 stored items; 3. placing wrong items into another guest room. Is there a ZERO rating? the mess-up is bad enough, the manager's bureaucratic messages and accusation has been the worst of the whole experience.
The hotel thought they lost all my luggage. Then found it in someone else room.
I entrusted my luggage to front desk after checking out and before heading to airport. I showed my concern as I realized that the baggage room is in an open hall way without door lock instead of the usual hotel arrangement behind the front desk or bell captain station.
When I get back, the luggage was gone. Front desk person was trying to call "manager" Lecrenq Sevrine, who suppose to be fluent in english, and calling the last guest who left the hotel for airport. The manager didn't bother to speak to me, nor answering my call after I demanded a direct contact of her following a back and forth when I was told to email the info@ account of the hotel and call the hotel general number.
I was given a phone in the lobby, but no help in finding and contact the embassy for an emergency replacement passport.
As I just got in the Uber going to the embassy, front desk person ran after the car to tell me that " a colleague mistakenly took my luggage into someone else room as that guest was changing room". I stayed in the lobby for another couple of hours, no one of the hotel spoke to me, let along apologizing or offer a coffee, or any courtesy.
Putting aside the simple procedure mistake of checking bag tag, the utter carelessness of leaving guests' luggage out in the open (some were left just inside the street door), and bureaucratic attitude (for a hotel maybe with 20-40 rooms)...

My friend and her (almost) 13 year old daughter joined us for two of the nights. We loved the hotel and the area. The staff are friendly, informative. A complimentary slice of cake and mint tea is on offer. A refillable bottle of water is provided in the rooms.||Nearby to eat we loved Avec Amour Le Burger; Cafe Palisance (Rue de Alesia). The Turkish takeaways are reasonably priced if you want something cheap and easy for the kids. Falstaff (we visited Montparnasse one) is essential for beer lovers. The area around Alesia looked wonderful and cheaper though we didn't eat here.|Cafe Palisance best value and great food and service. A real local place, didn't perceive any other tourists there. Great atmosphere. Boulangeries and small supermarkets on the street of the hotel. Everything you need.||We didn't have breakfast included. My friend and her daughter stayed for two nights with breakfast (booked differently). The hotel was so accommodating in putting our rooms next to each other. We flew into Orly and it was literally 20/25 mins to the hotel and only 20 euros in an Uber. I cannot recommend this boutique hotel enough. The staff were so helpful. The rooms were small but cute. There was a small terrace area for drinks. Our friends had breakfast included in their package and said it was decent. Good location. Lots of options on doorstep for food and drinks. Around a 10/15 walk to Montparnese tower and station and the bustling cafe area behind it. Around 20 mins walk to the Catacombs. Metro Pernety is next door.||We checked in around 7.30pm on the Thursday and hotfooted it to the Montparnese tower. We got there just as the sun was setting and saw the first 9pm twinkle. This was a great way to start our stay. Lots of photo opportunities. We went to Avec Amour Le Burger on the way back and I have to say the chicken burger was the best I've ever had; whatever cheese they are using in there is unreal. On Sunday we visited the Catacombs, which were unreal! Pre-booked tickets and first slot of the day. 100% worth visiting but not suitable for mobility issues and prams.||If flying into Orly, I would not hesitate to stay here again! Fantastic...
Read moreWonderful little gem of a hotel in the authentic neighborhood of Montparnasse. On a very accessible street with lots of great restaurants and off the beaten path, shops and bars. A little far from the main tourist attractions but rich in history. The rest of the city can be easily accessed by a cheap bolt ride or by subway, which is very close. The catacombs are a stones throw along with the famous Montparnasse cemetery, along with a lot of cafes from the Hemmingway era.
The best part of this hotel was the service, yes the rooms are standard Paris size (smaller) compared to large American ones but the hotel has options to pick a larger room if you prefer. The space itself was warm and great for coworking, hanging out and unwinding after a hectic day in the city. Killian, Yaan and team, went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us with all our requests. And believe me, we had a lot of requests since we were on the tail end of a hectic trip and had to make some changes (additional room, storing items). It is the kind of place you want to come back to over and over again, and makes you feel more like a local...
