This is a small hotel with reasonable rooms. In Paris you get what you pay for and this one has all of the basics - functioning bathroom, old but clean bed and furnishings, good quality wifi. I found the counter staff to be quite helpful - once one got past the initial Paris grumpiness, which is standard almost everywhere. The location is good, with only a short walk to Bastille and a couple of Metro stations.||||Reading the other reviews, I see that some people have had difficulties with bookings and credit cards. I also had a strange experience, receiving a call as I was in transit saying that they were confirming cancelling my booking. Totally weird. I explained that I definitely did not want to cancel my booking - and I have no idea how that happened. If I had not taken the call I would presumably arrived late at night to find that I did not have a room. Something odd seems to...

Reservation issue:

I reserved a room for 3 days from an app, I choose the option to pay once I get there (even had a cancelation option as well). I gave my card details as requested for the booking with the advice that no money will be taken from it. The following day I received a notice that the transaction was declined (no transaction was supposed to happen this time and I usually proceed this way with no problems) I actually top up this card when I need wish I was going to do before I go, I then called directly the hotel to ask for explanations, I had a very condescending lady on the phone nearly called me a liar as they normally take the money straight away, she asked me to check the website again wish I obviously did and when I offered to email her screen shots she suddenly hung up the phone telling me she has no time for me and need to take care of customers wish I...

Lovely hotel, full of character, and a perfect centre for exploring this part of Paris. Friendly hosts, and the rooms are compact but cosy and spotless. I love the decor, especially the mid century modern style pieces. Rooms are accessed by a typical Parisian spiral staircase but there is a small lift.

Breakfast is available (booked separately at reception) or there are many nearby cafes, patisseries, and restaurants offering a wide array of cuisine. Other local attractions include the historical Place de la Bastille, with its twice weekly market, the Picasso museum, pretty Gothic churches, a cat cafe, and an eclectic mix of boutiques and bars. Explore more of Paris via the Metro, cycle hire or the great value taxi services.

I booked through booking.com and had no problem with payment. Only part payment required to secure the booking with the balance taken...

This hotel is the one we found the closest to the center at a decent price. It was a cheap and comfortable stay for us. The room was neat and clean. Definitely recommend if you don’t expect higher than these. We were able to find a space in a parking garage which is also very close to the hotel. The staff was lovely.

Unique place and quirky which will surely last in your memories of visiting Paris. The hotel is really close to metro which is a huge bonus. Price was very reasonable for what you pay. Felt very clean and well cared for. Staff were pleasant and happy to converse in English. Would definitely stay here again.
