I checked my booking before I left for Paris and saw that for some reason it had been cancelled. This caused me a lot of stress as I tried calling the hotel many many times and I could not get through. I also looked all over the accor website for the customer service number and I could not find it. I had to call a local ibis hotel number for help and I managed to get the customer service number from there. After all that, I managed to talk to someone in customer service which then directed me to the hotel manager who said our booking still exists (somehow). I raised my frustration with him and he did not even seem to care over the phone the stress this caused. But we were lucky to be sent the email confirmation of our booking from the manager. What's worse is that when we arrived at the hotel, the manager didn't even bother to inform his reception staff that my booking had to be reput into. So we had to explain it all over again to the hotel receptionist that there was an error with our booking. The email helped cleared it up but no care or even apologizing from the receptionist over the whole ordeal. What's worse is the room. The pillows were so thin it made sleeping the first night uncomfortable. We couldn't even be bothered with asking for extra pillows as we didn't really trust the service of the hotel. Also only 2 towels in the room. No hand towel for the sink. This is even ridiculous for an ibis! I would never stay in this ibis or any ibis in Paris and...
Read moreStayed here for four nights in September 2024 and have some positives but also a few negatives to report, for an overall mixed assessment. The major plus is the price. The rooms are pretty affordable for Paris. It was also quiet and the Internet worked well, with basic amenities such as soap and shower gel provided. The bed was alright and the shower had a prison-cell vibe. More importantly though, the water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired and the water temperature wasn’t constant. Sometimes with the setting on warm it would turn lukewarm and then cold for a few seconds before getting warm again, sometimes even slightly too warm. I don’t know if this an issue only with this room or this floor but it should in any case be fixed. The lift can take a while to arrive. The frontline staff was fine: not super friendly but also not rude - and relatively efficient, which is a plus. The area is not the nicest and feels industrial and run down but it’s reasonably close to Gare du Nord and Montmartre. There is quite a pungent smell when you enter the hotel lobby. I couldn’t identify what it was and it’s not too off putting but definitely noticeable and not the most welcoming thing to arrive with. Given the solid value for money ratio, I would probably give 3.5 stars if I could but I’m rounding down for the...
Read moreThe area where the hotel is is not safe at all and there are very illegal people walking around the hotel, especially at night, we were not able to go out and returned to the hotel in the evening. There is nothing like a supermarket or shopping around the hotel, and you only have to walk 16 minutes to the subway, and there is only a highway around the hotel. It is very far from the airport and I called a taxi three times and all three of them had very bad manners and did not understand English and two of them disrespected me and my wife. There was no hair dryer in the room, so we took the hair dryer from the information downstairs and after a lot of discussion, they gave us the hair dryer rental for 40 minutes. The room was only clean and did not have any other hotel facilities. The hotel is not in the city center and it is very far from the city center. At the hotel, we charged 4 euros, but we had made the reservation from Expedia. The last thing in the hotel was a person who works at night and he helped us a lot and communicated well and gave us information about everything. He is one of the hotel staff and he was excellent. This was the only person in the hotel who was nice and helpful, otherwise the hotel is not suitable for tourists and please be careful in choosing the hotel. I hope this information is useful for...
