Hôtel Première Classe Saint Quentin — Hotel in Saint-Quentin

I made the reservation by phone, told the receptionist that I would arrive after 23:00. She mentioned that there is an automatic check in desk. Upon arriving, it turns out that it is out of order, I tried with 4 different card. Called at 23:07 the phone number that we should call when there is an issue, the person mentioned that he would be there on 15 minutes. Called after 21 minutes, he told he would be there in 8 minutes, On the phone I could hear he still wasn't in the car. I called again 15 minutes later, no answer. Called again 2 minutes later, then he answered he would be there in 5-7 minutes and the he was stopped by the police.... It took him 44 minutes and tons of lies to get here. I works have been OK if he had told me straight at the beginning that it would take 45 minutes. But faking and telling lies, no, that is not acceptable behavior towards a client who spend hours in the car driving before arriving to the hotel. Very dissatisfied by such...

Annually use low cost french hotels when travelling through France on holidays to break up the journey. Stopped at this one when returning from the Alps and will not be using Premiere Classe again. In one room the door had an internal bolt lock installed as you could see where the main lock had been forced open. The second room had cigarette lighter marks and writing all under the bunk bed and cigarette burns all over the duvet covers. Both shower heads where broken, one had been fixed with tape and the other would not stop on the rail which was broken. Breakfast was very poor, no plates, just trays, so all food (which was limited) had to be put on napkins. We will not stop here again. Interestingly, the previous week we had stayed at the Premiere Classe in Chalon Sur Saone on our way down to the Alps and our experience was completely different but please avoid this one as it...

As other visitors mentioned, the rooms are not at all insulated for sound, so the noise from the heavy vehicles on the local roads in the industrial estate just about drown out the noise from the neighboring rooms, and other arriving guests. Rooms were not properly clean. We found a nicely decomposing apple core inside the bedside lamp next to my son's bed, and dust in most corners and under the beds. Non-smoking? It smelled like people smoke in the room on a regular basis - or perhaps just outside on the external access landing (there are ashtrays conveniently placed (not emptied) just outside many rooms. Then there are the cigarette burns in the (tiny) shower/toilet room and a cigarette hole or two in the bed linen. We were away at first light - we know better than to stay for the breakfast as we've made that mistake at another...
