ibis Styles Strasbourg Nord Palais des Congrès — Hotel in Strasbourg

am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent three-night stay at your hotel.

Throughout our stay, the air conditioning in our room was not functioning, despite outside temperatures reaching 30–34°C during the day. This made the room unbearably hot and seriously affected our comfort and ability to sleep.

When we reported the issue to the front desk, we were only offered a fan, even after repeatedly requesting a working AC. Additionally, the front desk staff were not truthful about the presence of a manager on-site who could assist us further. This lack of transparency and support was extremely frustrating.

Although we received a refund for the first night, we were still forced to spend additional nights in an overheated room, as no proper solution was offered. Only after submitting a written complaint to customer service were we finally offered a new room.

This experience highlights the lack of maintenance and overall poor quality of the hotel’s climate control system. We feel that we paid for a service that was simply not provided, and the discomfort we endured made our stay difficult and deeply disappointing.

I request a full review of this situation and a further refund or appropriate compensation for the two nights we spent in...

The hotel is located away from the city center and is located exactly the opposite side indicated by Google Maps. A tram station is right in front of the hotel, if you want to go downtown where parking is difficult. The reception is open 24 hours a day which is very important. The Reception Hall is Open Space for different activities, restaurant lounge bar and a reading area and games room and a TV area. Breakfast is well provided, but as 90% of the client are early risers, if you get there 9:15 a.m., there is almost nothing left to eat and the kitchen service only replenishes the buffet after a severe complaint from a customer. Which is a shame compared to the quality displayed by the hotel. The hotel must see this problem of supplying the buffet at breakfast.
