11/4 If you contact us and offer a proper apology, and if you can confirm that room 208 has been thoroughly treated for future guests, I will remove this review. Until then, this review will stay here. When faced with a serious issue like this, this is not the way to handle it. You must face it and take responsibility. 11/4 Is this content not posted because it violates the policy? The hotel owner likely reported it to Google.
If you remove this review, I'm going to share what happened to me (skin bacterial infection very likely from this bedbug event), the doctor's diagnosis received while we were in Slovenia, and all the medicines I've been taking for 3rd week now. All started after staying at this place.
Did you properly address the concerns in Room 208 after our departure or after reading this review?
Your handling of the situation is quite disappointing. Instead of reporting the bedbug bite photos to Google, you should have contacted us personally and offered an apology.
The photos of the bed bug bites were added on the same day and one day after our stay but were later removed due to what we believe to be a "policy violation." Without the photos, I'm sharing this again today. Updates:
The sewage smell was exceptionally unpleasant. After breakfast this morning, I noticed numerous red spots on my husband's neck, left hand and the back of his arms, likely from his pillow. This is the first time we've ever encountered such issues in hotels worldwide. I'm utterly speechless. We paid $250 one night to get bed bug bites. The room we stayed in was 208. Please throw away the pillow and conduct special extermination treatment for your next guest. Sigh... This completely ruined the start of our day. Hotels with bud...

Then it was a family operated affair with beautiful daughters behind the check in desk.. and could not have been a more nearly perfect stay. I will never forget the great sense of just being in a wonderful accommodation, the food, the advice on how to get around to the best sightseeing. The bus ride down to the Konigsee and walking part of the shoreline was awesome. There was a curious booth or shed with human figures dressed in local style in it away from the boat docks. We walked down to see what that was all about and there was a place to insert a Deutchmark coin. We did not know what that would bring about but we dropped in the coins. The mannequin began moving and a 3 or 4 inch log was moved under a two handled tree saw and the mannequins sawed off a thin slice of the limb, then we noticed beside the tray there was a black ink stamp to mark the wood slice with "Konigsee" and a Bavarian image. A very cool coaster and keepsake which...
Read moreWe had a wonderful 4 night stay at Alpenhotel Fischer. The staff were lovely, speaking great English but being patient in letting me try speaking German too. Hotel facilities were great with breakfast being a highlight. Lots of choice and all very fresh. The room (117) was spacious and clean. The location is on the edge of Berchtesgaden and right next to a supermarket which was very handy. With that said, all I’d point out is that to get to Berchtesgaden centre, it’s around a 25 minute walk, with some uphill in either direction. This was no issue for us personally but would be an issue if you’re not into lots of walking. The buses stopped running around 8pm so we often got the bus into the centre for dinner but then walked back. This is not a criticism as it was nice to be out of the centre when we were ready to retire for the night, but merely something I wanted to point out for future guests. All in all, it was a fabulous stay and this hotel is one I would absolutely recommend to visitors of...
