1st Floor Köln 2 — Hotel in Cologne

Like the other reviewer I was here on business for 3 days. This was one of the most relaxing hotel stays I have and in quite awhile. Communication from the hotel after I booked the room was top notch, everything was well communicated in advance. Please make sure you reserve parking as trying to find a spot in the area can take awhile as its a residential area with very crowded streets.||||The rooms are beautiful, well decorated, and very clean. The room came with a small minibar of snacks and drinks which was appreciated. The wifi is pretty good, much faster than many of the big name hotels I stay at. Then, of course, I had the whirlpool tub, which after a long day is a pretty sweet way to relax. The room looks like it has been recently renovated as the fixtures are all relatively new. The bathroom floor is heated and the walk in shower with raintree is large with great water pressure.||||The surrounding neighborhood has many options for dining. There is also a number of grocery stores just one block over.||||This may become my new go to when...

Haben über Booking gebucht. Haben dann vorab nochmal per Email geschrieben, da ja aktuell alles nur geschäftlich ist. Durften auch vor dem Check in kurz die Koffer abgeben. Das war ein Pluspunkt.

Wir haben dort den großen Jacuzzi gebucht. Als wir ankamen, waren wir dann etwas verdutzt als wir eine Whirlpool Badewanne hatten. Haben dann bei der Empfangsdame nochmals gefragt, wieso weshalb warum. Wir wollten ja auch kein Geld zurück, wollten halt nur mal nachfragen bzw. ansprechen. Wir wussten ja nicht, dass dieser Jacuzzi wegen Corona aktuell eigentlich garnicht buchbar ist. Ist halt typisch Booking.com, dass da null Auskünfte sind. Es gibt auch wegen Corona kein Frühstück.

Die Dame ist total zur Decke gegangen, ist komplett ausgerastet, hat uns beleidigt, gesagt wir würden nerven. Das war unter aller Kanone. Sowas hab ich noch nie erlebt. Wir waren richtig schockiert und der Tag war erstmal gelaufen. Haben es aber dem Chef auch mitgeteilt.

Waren natürlich trotzdem sehr zufrieden mit dem Zimmer. Die Wanne ist das absolute Highlight sowie auch die Regendusche. Kaffee und Tee wird genügend angeboten und die Minibar ist auch voll gewesen mit Bier und Softdrinks.

Am nächsten Tag waren wir überrascht, als wir von unserem Job kamen und das Zimmer nicht gesäubert wurde. Wir wollten zumindest mal die Tassen wechseln. Da wir dann dem Chef schrieben, sagte er auch wegen Corona gäbe es keinen Service und falls wir neue Tassen, Besteck, Handtücher und frischen Kaffee wollten, sollen wir grad runtergehen, wir würden dann neues bekommen.

Habe ich dann auch gemacht und nach frischen Tassen gefragt. Die unfreundliche Dame meinte dann zu mir wieso wir die Tassen nicht einfach ausspülen, dass würden die anderen gäste auch machen. Ich war in dem Moment schon wieder so geflasht, hab dann einfach nichts gesagt. Habe aber neue bekommen.

Mein Freund hat sich total aufgeregt wie man so unfreundlich reagieren kann. Man kann ja auch am besten noch die Handtücher selber waschen.

Haben dies auch wieder reklamiert, wie man so unfreundlich sein kann und Kunden betreut.

Der Besitzer hat uns dann ein tolles Angebot gemacht, ist uns dann wegen dem ganzen Schlamassel nochmal entgegen gekommen.

Am Abend war Schichtwechsel. Plötzlich war eine total freundliche und liebe Empfangsdame dort. Sie war total lieb, man konnte sich super unterhalten, zeigte uns sogar noch ein anderes wunderschönes Zimmer des Hotels. Ich habe mich echt gefreut, dass Sie so freundlich war. Absolutes Lob an die nette Dame.

Also alles in allem war es ein toller Aufenthalt, die Zimmer sind echt schön, klar es ist halt im ersten Stock - es gibt halt kein schönen Ausblick aber kann man absolut, trotz allem sehr weiterempfehlen. Auch...

Recently I had the misfortune and poor inspiration to stay at 1st Floor Koln. Based on the pictures on Booking, everything looked wonderful, but the truth is that I had the most horrible experience ever. The room was located in the basement with no signal, and the worst thing is that we had a door in the bathroom, unlocked, that went directly into that basement. We called the lady at the reception and she told us that is perfectly normal for that door to be opened (that is for our safety) and that she can not give us the key to lock it, and, also that her boos will call us the next day.
