Well beyond expectation and everything we would want in a small, resort-town hotel — distinctive but practical building design; spacious and quiet room with a small balcony looking out on a meadow; very modern and sparkling-clean bathroom; friendly and ultra-efficient service; good breakfasts; nice touches in decoration throughout; reasonable pricing; great attention to detail. At the edge of Badenweiler but a fairly easy walk to the town centre, guessing about 10 minutes. May need to park across the street on grass because there are only three driveway spots, but did not find that a problem. We were happy to find there are owners wiling to put this kind of effort into making a stay very enjoyable for travellers; congratulations to them.||Planning is needed for laundry. The whole region is short of self-serve laundromats. A commercial laundry a few kilometres away in Mullheim seems to offer one-day service but a national holiday the next day prevented us from using it. Supposedly there's one in Freiburg but mid-city traffic and parking there rules it out. For many years, I have been staying at Hotel Rebekka mit Haus am Brühl. Standing on the flank of a hill, overlooking the Markgräflerland vineyards and meadows, the venue is ideally located, within walking distance to the town center and spa. At the western edge of Badenweiler, it is surrounded by prairies and offers a peaceful and relaxing environment. The hotel is operated by Ottmar Kaiser and his adorable wife — the sweetest couple, salt of the earth, who will attend to your every needs and make of your visit in Badenweiler an enjoyable one. The rooms, either single or double, are spacious and comfortable. However corny to some, they are quiet and well equipped. Some come with a separate living room and a small terrace. The breakfast is sumptuous, with a variety of breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, as well as hot and cold beverages. We stayed here for 2 nights the apartments / rooms are very spacious with a small kitchen with the advantage of a fridge but not a lot else. We were on the ground floor and had two great terraces The owners are very helpful no bar as such but an honesty bar which was fine|Bring ear plugs as the rooms are not carpeted you here the other rooms walking about moving chairs etc|We came during Germany's heatwave over 40*c and with no air con it was very hot|There is a supermarket a 5 minute walk away, several restaurants 10 minutes walk away and also a great lido a few euros to get in and you can hire sun loungers it has various pools, slides and fountains, a great play park, table tennis , volley ball, trampolines and a snack bar we had a...
