Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The front desk staff declined (he told me that he doesn't have time) to assist me in quickly checking if my car was parked safely on the street (PS their parking was full). The car was just around the corner, and it would have only taken him a minute of his time.
This small gesture would have shown empathy and good service, especially at a 4* hotel.
It is also important to note that they were 2 staff at the reception and I was the only customer at that moment, one of them could have helped me while the other one stays at the reception in case another customer arrive.
Additionally, when I mentioned that I was exhausted after a long day (also I was feeling unwell due to low blood sugar - I am diabetic), the front desk manager responded that he also had a long day and that he was also tired, he then mentioned that I cannot understand how much work he has…
As a customer, I believe that such a response is not appropriate, and I would expect a more understanding and helpful attitude, especially from a 4* hotel staff.
I am sorry if I am being rude, but I am the customer, not the other way around… if the front desk staff are too tired to take care of their customer, or if they don’t like to work in customer service, they...
Read moreThis is a small clean hotel, the room was functional, it could sleep 3. The bathroom has a small shower cubicle, no conditioner, nor facecloth or lotion, but good enough for us as we only stayed 1 night. Rooms seem new and refurbished, aircon works, there is a safe, desk and we had 2 rooms next to each other as requested at the end of the corridor, so it was quiet. The pillow was too soft, but we liked the firm mattrass. The sheets did not smell so nice or fresh like they weren't aired enough. Parking was expensive, the neighborhood is quiet. You can hear some street sounds during the day but at night it was quiet enough for us light sleepers although it wasn't completely soundproof and the darkening curtains let light through the sides in the morning. The light of the TV was on the whole night. The location is good, we walked 10 minutes to get to the center with shops and restaurants. There is a small park and playground just outside the hotel. The breakfast ended at 10.00 am although the website states 10.30 am. The food was standard, but with enough choice for us on a small buffet with fresh goods that looked...
Read moreStayed for a night in late December. The room was quite big, a bit cold and not very clean. The wc was positioned ridiciously next to the bathroom door that one needs to sit sideways to use it. The rooms i believe need renovation as they look aged. Did not meet much of the staff, the girl at the reception was friendly. I had a late night arrival, which was agreed with the hotel in advance. The guy who is on night duty was not at his post. I rang the bell, then he showed up in a few minutes. I checked in, got my room keys and then went back outside to my car to get my stuff. I came back and the guy had disappeared. This time i rang the bell like 15-20 mins and still no one answered. I had to force it with my bare hands to open the sliding doors to get in, as the the guy on duty never showed up again. The hotel offers parking for 18 euros or so, but you can park your car in the streets around the hotel; it's free and legal. There is late check-out at 3pm, which was really cool, so i could spend some time visiting the city before i'd continue my next...
