Me and my mother have been staying in this hotel for for three years from time to time as it close to the Grossharden University hospital. The hotel is a litlle bit old, cozy and seems nice from the outside. The staff is freindly and nice. Unofrunately, there was a case which completely changed my opinion about this hotel, particularly about its owner. Rooms in the hotel are not equiped with the refrigarator, so when I asked for it, the receptionist while checking me in confirmed that I could keep my medicines in the refrigarator of the hotel. However, Mr.Neumayr gave my medicines (which were really important and expensive medicines) to another guest who went to Italy with them, which I knew only when I needed to check out. I got my medicines at the end, but becuase of that I needed to spent half a day of my vacation and about 400euro for ticket to return to Munich to pick up my medicines. Mr. Neumayr told me that it was my fault that I needed to keep the medicines in my room in the refrigirator (which is absent) and at the end that there is no proves that medicines were kept in their refrigirator, that their receptionist can't understand English (altough my translator was talking to her in German) It was very discusting to hear such things, when you were supposed to hear appolozies for what happened and for all your inconviniences that were brought. I think this person does not understand anything about hospitality and about hotel business. I would not recommend this hotel for enyone, as I understand now that in this hotel could happen anything with your belonings and anyone would not take any...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Neumayer in Munich, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This charming, family-owned hotel has been passed down through generations, and you can feel the warmth and dedication in every aspect of your stay. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the incredibly friendly receptionist, who has been a welcoming presence at the hotel for over 30 years. This level of commitment and familiarity is truly rare and adds a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. The rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. Despite being centrally located, the hotel is situated in a very quiet area, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep with the window open – a true luxury in a bustling city like Munich. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. While it may not be opulent, it is superb in quality and taste. The bread and rolls from the neighborhood bakery are fresh and delicious, the charcuterie from the local butcher is top-notch, and the homemade jams are an absolute treat. It's clear that the hotel takes pride in sourcing local, high-quality ingredients. The staff at Hotel Neumayer are exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. In summary, Hotel Neumayer is a hidden gem in Munich. Its combination of comfort, quality, and heartfelt service makes it a standout choice for anyone...
Read moreWhat a quaint place. The façade alone makes you feel in Bavaria already. A historical huge house originally in an L-shape with a garden in the back that is part of the restaurant, it is peaceful for the mind and body. It is located in the southwest part of town, the metro station is just around the corner (go out to the left then another left then another right, voila!!). The way to the zentrum (city center) is picturesque, dotted with single-family Bavarian homes, just lovely to see, before one sees the more modern multi-story buildings, residential or commercial. ||The section of the hotel overlooking the street needs some refurbishment esp a new carpet, otherwise the rooms have all the basics one needs. What I liked the most is the two wide windows that when open they gush in a clean cool fresh Bavarian air. The bedding is of the very German linen. The bed is very comfortable. What a feeling. No in-room coffee nor mini bar but that’s ok for me since I don’t drink tea or coffee in the evening. ||The lady in charge keeps this lovely hotel in check, quick to take whatever remarks one has to improve/fix what is needed. She even calls for a taxi for you and calls you when it’s there. ||We had breakfast included, but even though the items did not change, but the quality and cleanliness and variety are beyond expectation. I enjoyed their bread buns, crispy gold, their cut fruit bowl (aside from the fruit...
