Great hotel with a friendly feel. They allowed us to check in early, we got to know the evening staff member Marie and she was awesome. All the staff was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, so much to choose from. The Biergarten on property was lovely and food was good, service there was great too. There was always fruit infused water, chocolate squares and gummy bears waiting for you when you are in the lobby and a nice bar in the lobby too. The hotel was in a quiet suburb so that part was tough if we wanted to do something close to the hotel but it was only about a 7-10 minute walk to the train station. Very convenient. Good burger place and gelato place across the street. Definitely recommend it. *Be aware when we booked it online it is advertised that there is air conditioning, there is not as Americans know it to be. It is a cooling system but it is strictly set to almost the temperature outside so it was not much of a cooling relief on the really hot days, but don't let that stop you. We would stay there...
Read moreWell, there was nothing wrong, but things could have been better. They are not directly accessible by public traffic, like 500m from Trudering, where you can get anywhere. Or two bus stops, and the stops are literally at the station or in front of the hotel. Service was ok, but I did not receive my complimentary drink. I didn't complain and demand it. Also, I was there for two days, but did clean my room on next day. Probably changed towels, too. Rooms could do with AC and/or minifridge. Lack of AC was no problem in October. I could have had couple of beers in fridge. I liked how everything was clean and quite new. Breakfast was quite good, although I didn't find the courage to try leberkäse. But they had Obazda and you could order Weisswurst for extra fee, which I recommend, even though I did not order mine. This was the best price/performance ratio for me for...
Read moreI recently stayed at hotel obermaier, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and cozy, offering a comfortable place to rest. While I knew there wouldn’t be a refrigerator in the room when I booked, I was surprised that there wasn’t even a small bottle of water or any welcoming gesture, especially given the hot weather during my stay.
The reception staff, unfortunately, seemed a bit impatient and rushed when answering my questions, which made the check-in process feel less welcoming.
The standout part of my stay was the breakfast. It was excellent—fresh, full of options, and truly delicious. The variety and quality of the food made for a great start to each day.
Overall, Hôtel Obermaier could improve on some aspects, but the comfort of the room and the quality of the breakfast were...
