I went to this hotel for a celebration trip to Stuttgart with my boyfriend which sadly became a disastrous experience because of this hotel. Here is what happened and exactly why you should never stay there.
The first reason to avoid this hotel is that you can be robbed by other guests even in private spaces. On day one my Chanel classic flap handbag (worth today over €10,500.00) was stolen in the morning (around 9h30) from the hotel breakfast room located on the 10th floor and frequented exclusively by hotel guests. The handbag was covered by two jackets so, totally hidden from sight or so we thought. We were also sitting about 2 to 3 meters away from the staff controlling that the room was only accessed by other paying guest so, we felt safe.
While we stood up to get breakfast a few meters away the handbag was stolen from under its hidden place and the jackets carefully displayed in the exact same way as i had left them. So, when we returned to the table we noticed nothing. We only noticed the bag was missing when we got up to leave and realized that under the jackets there was no handbag, it was stolen, and with it all my identification documents, health insurance cards, credit card, drivers license, house keys and phone were gone.
We reported this to the staff immediately and to our surprise, the lady who stood at the door checking the guests room numbers making ‘sure0 that only guests were permitted on the preceding denied that i had a bag. She said it clearly “you didn’t have a bag” and “I didn’t see you with a bag”. This was a very strange reaction for when a guest reports the theft of a very valuable assets with all personal identification in it in such hotel.Eventually we showed her a photo of me wearing the bag we had just taken on the lift on our way down to breakfast. So she excused herself and helped us complain on the hotel reception desk who had lovely but, overworked staff (more on this later).
The second reason to avoid this hotel completely is the management’s lack of knowledge on costumer service, the total absence of management skills directed to the client’s experience and total unaccountability. It’s hotel management, not Switzerland: in urgent situations such as these, good management takes the costumer’s side and offers support. After the report was made, requests to checked CCTV and a formal report made with the Stuttgart police the hotel management was conspicuously absent. They did not send a note of apology, they did not send us some chocolates or offered a drink, not to mention a discount, nothing.
Absolutely no effort was made by hotel management to acknowledge and even less to remedy the seriousness of the financial hit but, also psychological damage because loosing absolutely all access to ones personal documents is quite disturbing when abroad! Luckily my boyfriend could help me navigate through the rest of our holidays, but what if that hadn’t been the case? And what if we had left a small designer luggage on storage? Would we have been at the mercy of other hotel guests?
The hotel had 2 days to check the guests present in the room. There was only one possibility of one woman who saw us put the bag down and was then missing when we returned. The hotel along with the police could have acted on the case, yet management seemed to actively choose to do nothing. In such cases, the least a hotel management can do is to offer some support to the costumer. I mean, sending a note asking “How can we be of service?” in tough times would have been deeply appreciated. No one needs a degree in hotel or business management to do such small act of kindness. So, costumer service knowledge was totally absent much like the knowledge on helpfulness and common courtesy.
There is more I could say about overworked lovely staff in reception, lack of efficiency of cleaning staff, closed bars and restaurants but, word count does not allow for this.
In sum, save your money and choose...

Opened in November 2023, the Radisson Blu at Porsche Design Tower has quickly become a defining feature of Stuttgart’s skyline. Rising from the Theater District as the city’s tallest building, it offers a striking blend of bold architecture, elevated luxury, and sweeping panoramic views. From the moment of arrival, the experience is curated with precision and flair—an homage to the Porsche design philosophy that permeates every detail.
Occupying floors 9 through 23, the hotel houses 168 rooms and suites, each thoughtfully designed with sleek interiors and expansive windows that frame the cityscape and surrounding vineyards. As a Radisson Rewards VIP member, I was graciously upgraded to a Premium Corner Room on the 22nd floor. The room, measuring 30 square meters, offered a serene view of the vineyards behind the hotel and was outfitted with a king-size bed, a spacious built-in wardrobe, a flat-screen TV with Netflix, and a well-appointed desk. Two reading chairs and a Nespresso machine with complimentary pods added both comfort and convenience.
The bathroom continued the theme of understated elegance, featuring a rainfall shower, integrated toilet, underfloor heating, and Radisson-branded toiletries. Daily VIP amenities included two complimentary bottles of water, and the welcome gifts—a pair of miniature Porsche model cars, car-shaped gummy bears, and a brochure detailing the hotel’s art collection—were a charming nod to Stuttgart’s automotive heritage. The artwork throughout the property, consisting of photographs by René Staud, a Stuttgart-born artist renowned for his cinematic portrayals of luxury cars, added a layer of cultural sophistication.
Breakfast is served at Balaustine, the hotel’s signature restaurant on the 10th floor. The buffet offered a solid selection of hot and cold dishes, fresh juices, and self-service coffee. In the evening, Balaustine transformed into a stylish rooftop venue specializing in modern Middle Eastern cuisine. While the dishes were flavorful and the staff attentive, a few plates arrived cooler than expected - an oversight in an otherwise polished dining experience.
The rooftop bar was a standout, fusing sleek design with relaxed elegance. Signature cocktails, fine wines, and light bites were served in a vibrant setting with panoramic views of Stuttgart’s skyline and vineyards - an ideal spot for sunset drinks or late-night lounging. For wellness enthusiasts, the hotel’s 24/7 fitness center, equipped with Technogym equipment, paired seamlessly with a tranquil sauna, offering guests a balanced blend of energy and ease.
In conclusion, the Radisson Blu at Porsche Design Tower Stuttgart delivers a sophisticated and elevated hospitality experience. With its commanding views, refined interiors, and thoughtful amenities, it stands as a premier destination for travelers seeking both style and substance in the heart...
Read moreThe Stuttgart hotel has a few redeeming qualities. Its location, a mere three-minute walk from the metro station, is undeniably convenient. Positioned on a higher floor, the room offers breathtaking views and a spacious layout that feels comfortable. The bathroom amenities were a highlight, with a pleasant fragrance that was genuinely enjoyable. Compared to other hotels on this trip, this one initially seemed the most luxurious.||However, there were significant drawbacks during our two-night stay. On the first day, we noticed that one of the main lamps in the living area was not working. We informed the front desk, and they assured us it would be repaired the following day, but no action was taken. The shower water pressure was weak, only improving briefly when adjusting the temperature before reverting to a weak flow. More concerning were two instances on the first night when the water abruptly stopped for several minutes during a shower, which was highly inconvenient.|We reported the water issue to the front desk the next morning, and they promised to have it investigated, even offering to relocate us to another room if the problem persisted. However, when we returned that evening and inquired about progress, the staff seemed unaware of our earlier complaint. After we reiterated the issue, they suggested that “if no remark was recorded by staff from their previous shift, the problem was likely resolved”. Trusting their response, we experienced no issues that night. Unfortunately, the following morning, the water cut out again while brushing my teeth. At checkout, we raised the issue once more, only to be casually informed that the water pump on our floor had been malfunctioning these few days and was still under repair. The failure to disclose this critical information earlier, combined with the incomprehensible decision to assign guests to affected rooms despite a known issue, reflects a deplorable lack of care and professionalism.||In conclusion, while the hotel’s location, views, and initial luxury appeal are commendable, the severe maintenance failures, coupled with the staff’s lack of communication, rendered this stay a profoundly disappointing departure from the high standards I’ve come to expect from Radisson Blu. Having stayed at other Radisson Blu hotels and always enjoyed their consistent quality, I found this experience particularly disheartening. I cannot recommend this hotel and sincerely hope for improvements to restore the...
