I will never stay at this hotel again. I'm not sure if I just wasn't white enough to get good service or what the case was. I paid my bill and asked for the waitress to bring me the menu because I wanted to order something else. She brought the menu and she disappeared. I had to go and find her just to give her her tip. I don't know if she didn't return because she thought that I wasn't going to tip her or what the case was, but I'm sitting here watching everyone around me being serviced and I can't even get a drink, food or anything. I was locked out of my room earlier because the battery needed to be changed on the door. The beach is disgusting which was the main reason why I came here because it had Beach access but I don't want to go on to a filthy beach. This whole experience has been very upsetting. I went to breakfast this morning and I asked for two Waters and the waitress goes to the back and brings me two cups of tap water. My daughter was drinking it and I took a sip and I said is this tap water and she says yes and I said why would you bring me tap water? This has just been a very upsetting experience and I will never ever return. I was initially supposed to stay for 4 days but I'm checking out in the morning. I got here last night so I've been here for 1 and 1/2 day. Shortly after I complained about how I was treated at the resort, they came and apologized and upgraded me to a junior suite. It's bigger and I appreciate the gesture but I already have a bad taste in my mouth, so I will still be leaving today. I just don't care to...
Read moreJust to start off with, I was not a guest at this hotel. But I did go last week while on vacation wtih my friend. When we arrived we asked where we could purchase a day pass to enjoy the pool, we were told to just go out by the pool and someone would bring us a towel and then we'd pay. When we went to the pool the man serving us didn't tell us anythign about purchasing a pass, just that we needed to order food. We ordered several food and drink items on the menu and continued to enjoy the pool. After about an hour of enjoying the pool and continuing to eat and drink, we were confronted with multiple security guards at one point telling us that we needed to pay 40 cedi to enjoy the pool. We told them that was perfectly fine and to just add it to the bill. Throughout our next 2 hours there we were confronted at least 4 times by at least 4 different people. We were treated as though we did something wrong when we hadn't. I then went straight for the atm and paid them the 40 cedi in cash without them bringing our bill so that they'd just leave us alone. We then told them we'd like to enjoy to the beach to which they pointed us in the direction we should go. As we were going down onto the beach we were then told that because we were not guests we couldn't go on the beach even though we'd just told two employees, one being a supervisor, that we'd bought a pass and were going to the beach. All in all this hotel seemed okay but the staff was unorganized, rude and lacked common sense. Will not recommend...
Read moreI had a very horrible experience with the day manager. But everything else was great. I had a motor accident on April 11th,2019,so I called the reception and told the lady I wont be able to make it to the hotel the night of April 12th, but book me for the next day April 13th. She took my information and assured me all was fine. On April 13th 2019, I was driven straight to La Palm hotel from the hospital late at night. I met the day supervisor who told me I didn't call or show up the previous day so I cant stay. Very frustrating !!! I told him I called and showed the timeline from my cellphone record. I had to go in outside and make several calls back and forth to Delta airline who booked my hotel but no success till late at night. I came back inside and met my angel savior in the person of JOHN ADOTEY, the night manager, who had just started his shift. He listened to my story and was very very apologetic. Realizing how sick I looked, he gave me a seat and offered me some water and juice to drink. And asked if I have had anything to eat at all ? This man ran back and forth and in no time, got me a room . In the nutshell, people like Mr JOHN ADOTEY are the real and true asset of a good hotel like La Palm and its customers. The day manager was very rude and not helpful at all, especial to someone who had been in a motor accident. Thank you MR JOHN ADOTEY and God bless you even more. I enjoyed my stay. Very beautiful place. Breakfast was great except for the negative deeds receptionist and the...
