Felix Residence — Hotel in Argostoli Municipality

we stayed at the Felix Residence for a week June 12-19th, my wife and I.|We booked it through #Olympic Holidays.|Firstly the good points, lovely gardens, very comfy sleeping area in our room, the views from our terrace, the actual swimming pool itself.|The Hotel was sold on a self catering basis, but with the Hotel offering Breakfast, pool bar, and snacks at the pool bar.|On arrival we did notice that it was situated up a rather large steep hill, and not a lot of amenities near by.|First morning up made our way down to where we thought breakfast may be served only to find that the pool bar area was shut down. We asked a guy that was tending to the gardens where was breakfast please? he dialed a number on his mobile and handed it to my wife who was told very bluntly NO breakfast finished!|Now this Hotel is classed by Olympic Holidays as 4 torches, or 4.|Next we had the Sunbeds, 10 in total! between 6/7 were damaged ripped not fit for purpose really and definitely not 4 No pool towel service.|A lot of the tiles around the pool we cracked broken and lifting in places.|The self catering area in our room was tiny!! space dominated by the sink.|The only large knife we had was dangerously blunt! trying to cut a lime or lemon was a task in itself.|It was a steep walk down and up to the supermarket!|Be warned if you have walking difficulties then this is not the place for you!|It was not recommended that you hire a car, due to its location by Olympic Holidays.|Most other tour operators put this in there description.|The day before our last I went through one of the sunbeds, and one collapsed on my wife.|All these things taken into consideration if I would have known before hand I would never have booked this accommodation. We always book where there is breakfast, and some facilities around the pool.|We have stayed in Kefalonia before, also Skiathos many times, and some of the larger Greek islands, so we do know quite a bit about...

This accommodation is definitely not a four star. |Pros : Beds are very comfy & clean |Lovely views and gardens , |Cleaners came in every day ||Cons : Given the wrong accommodation when we arrived, a studio instead of apartment which we paid for . Had to wait two days before the right accommodation became available, so living out of suitcase. When we eventually got the apartment, no hot water! The owner wanted us to wait to the following day for it to be rectified, but we insisted it to be fixed that evening, which the owner wasn’t happy about. So for three days our holiday was spoilt. |No bar or breakfast being served as advertised, it did upset some guests but this didn’t worry us. |You do need a car, which we always hire because carrying water up a steep hill with it being so hot can be exhausting, and beach is too far away to walk |Cooking facilities are very limited , cutlery kept in a drainer , no draw to keep it in |Old and tired bathrooms |Sun beds broken & ripped |Tiles and pool overflow cracked around the pool and potentially dangerous |Such a shame about this accommodation because it wouldn’t take a lot to bring this place up to a four star, owners are elderly and live on site but they use an agency to run the place.|Would I stay...

Well, what a find! I'm very familiar with Greece, it's islands & how much it has to offer. This was my first time to visit the idyllic island of Kefalonia & I was lucky enough to discover Felix Residential. A true gem. A place with charm & wonderful settings. Beautiful gardens, a dazzling pool & fantastic service. The studio apartment I stayed in was perfect in every way. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, spacious & a very comfortable bed. Not to forget the extremely pretty, private patio I had, overlooking the pool with stunning views out to the sea. Staying at Felix Residential is sure to make your visit to Kefalonia one worth remembering. Both of the owners Efi & Pasquale couldn't do enough to ensure I enjoyed my stay. Hugh, their fantastic manager was amazing & there was nothing that was too much trouble for him & he was the perfect host. The entire place is very peaceful, tastefully decorated, well maintained & immaculately furnished. Felix Residential is ideally situated to explore the nearby beach, visit local tavernas with a supermarket just a 5 minute walk away. In fact I enjoyed it so much I'm returning next week!
