Very peacefull, clean, decent and recent place!
I really love the hotel, as a buidling, as a location. Everything was pretty fine, the prices are right, the beds are comfy, the rooms are clean, with enough space. The manager there - Stelios - a great guy, always busy and ready to help. Friendly and smiled staff. Breakfast good but for more than 3 days it's boring - one and the same.
I would like to say, that there is always a place to park near the hotel location.
The church next to the hotel is not a pleasent place, according to the BELL every morning in 08:00.
It's true, that Ouronopoulis is a place for family holidays and trips. I would not recoment the village for 2 young people, because there is no entertaining at all. There are a lot of taverns and places you can eat, drink coffe or anything. Maybe because it's a special place for popes, padres and GOD priests. There is nothing to do, on semi city. It's good for 2-3 days, to stay.
THE BEST PART - Ammouliani!!! Please do go to there, you can rent a boat (which is a lot of money for two people) or, you can hit the way to Trypiti and cath the ferry. 14.45 euro for the car and 2 adults.
Don't miss the Sweet Store, behind the small church.
CONCLUSION: A really nice family place and hotel. A 2-day vacation only and then leave (talking about the city), Clean and nice hotel, management and service. Beautiful beach (across Ouranoupoli), with everyhing you need - Ammouliani. Please go there, visit for 2 days, and then continue the trip...
Read moreThe hotel is nice (see pictures on official page), it's quiet outside, hardly any traffic, but only a few steps from the main street, the shopping area and the beach. No noise from neighbouring rooms to be heard. The owner is friendly, but not too bothered about the guests. The cleanliness is okay, but they use chlorinated cleanser, so it smells like being in a swimming bath. The hook for the toilet paper was in our case just underneath the hooks for the towels, so the toilet paper was covered by the towels and got slightly damp after taking a shower. The beds were okay, though much too hard as always in Greece. I have no idea how they survive on these stone hard matresses. The furniture was really nice, the rooms (we had rented two rooms, No. 1 and no 304) look charming, but the lights are very weak (especially in room no. 304), also in the bathrooms, so it is rather dark, even in mid August. The air conditioning in the rooms were good, but the ventilation system in the bathrooms is loud and ineffective, so you need to leave the door open after taking a shower. ||The w-lan was very weak and slow, you only had a chance to use it at all near the reception, almost no reception in the rooms.||The breakfast, which you have to pay separately (5 € per person) is awful and not worth the money. Thinking of it gives me a bad remembrance, so I'd rather not go...
Read moreThe owner refused to give us the room we had booked and essentially browbeat us into accepting a smaller room because he did not think I could climb 2 flights of stairs. We therefore had to sleep in 3 beds all pushed together instead of a single and double bed like we asked. There was barely any room to move around. The place was filthy and the overhead shower didn’t work so we couldn’t shower without the whole place filling with water. To top it all off one of the staff locked us in our room on the day we were meant to check out and we we had to wait for ages to be let out (obviously very risky if there had been a fire). There were also disturbances and noice throughout the night which is not ideal for a small child. Definitely would not recommend, especially not for families as not very safe and the owner is gruff...
