Holiday in September 2022, Girls holiday:
If you want a clubbing/nightlife hotel this is not the hotel for you however if you're looking for a relaxing, all inclusive hotel with a fantastic pool and close to a beach, this is the hotel to book.
When we arrived at midnight, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member, who checked us in. We then had a staff member walk our bags and show us to our room.
I went with two best friends. My friend and I shared a king size double bed. My other best friend slept on the bunk bed. There was plenty of space to move around for 3 people. There is air conditioning in the room. The bedroom was clean and the bed was comfy. We had a sea view balcony and could see the pool. They left us a plate of buffet food and water each in the bedroom on arrival. We had towels provided for the room. The bathroom had a bath/shower, toilet and sink. The towels were changed every 3 days and cleaners cleaned daily. There was balcony furniture and a washing line.
We were all inclusive. The food was delicious. One of my friends is vegetarian and there were plenty of veggie options for all three meals a day. The staff were so polite, friendly and helpful for all meals.
The cocktails that were included for all inclusive were plain and not popular ones. For a pina colada or strawberry daiquiri they are €10. They offer wine and beer also. They also have coffee, dizzy drinks, water and hot chocolate. They do not offer bottled water; this is something you have to pay separately.
Micheal the entertainment rep was so friendly and kind. He provided a variety of activities through the day and night. We enjoyed aqua aerobics, bingo and karaoke. There was a Greek band which we danced with.
The swimming pool is medium size if in a peak season maybe too small. The children's pool is very small. There were free floats to play on. The pool was cleaned daily. Pool staff were so friendly. There are plenty of sunbeds on grass and around the pool. The pool is open until 11pm but lifeguards finish at 6pm.
The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the beach. The walk back up is 20/30 mins as it's all uphill. It was a killer of a walk so best to get the free shuttle from the hotel. The beach is beautiful! There are no watersports there but there is a cafe and sunbeds. The beach has rocks in the sea and we saw some jellyfish.
We asked reception to take us to a sandy beach and for €60 return we were able to go to a sandy beach and paddle board (extra cost). Very much worth a visit!
The hotel offers boat excursions from the hotel outside. We booked the blue lagoon boat trip. We were picked up at 7.45 am and managed to squeeze some breakfast in before we went. We were out all day. This was a huge pirate boat. Food was included (drinks not included). Friendly staff. Stopped at Blue lagoon for a swim and then stopped at a beach which you can only access by boat. They can make a pack up for the all inclusive guests but require 48 hour notice so keep in mind as we weren't able to do this.
The hotel is incredible. Beautiful style building. Lovely and green in the gardens and beautiful flowers. Clean and polished throughout the reception area.
They have a spa in the hotel. I had a 30 minute massage and a 30 minute facial. We were disappointed though as we had a voucher for a free foot massage. We booked this in. We then got back to our hotel room and were informed they no longer could honour this and had to be booked before Thursday. There was no date on the voucher. We addressed this to reception but they said we had to take this up with the spa and so we did not get this treatment. This was a little upsetting.
Please note if you suffer from mosquitoes you Will need repellent as I have been bitten 15 times (nothing to do with the hotel).
This is a 4 star Hotel...
Read moreThis was our first all inclusive holiday and trip to Greece. Hotel Kriopigi is one of the best places I have stayed, they truly live up to their motto 'art of hospitality'. The hotel itself is beautiful, with modern decor with a mix of the original stone walls adds so much character. The staff are dedicated workers and made our stay so much better. The hotel is only a 20 minute walk from Kriopigi beach which has beautiful clear blue water and taxi's for anything further are super cheap.
Upon arrival we were given all the information needed for our stay, by the lovely Katerina. Everything was printed on a sheet of paper, a map and offered a complimentary foot massage in the hotel spa if desired. The hotel has a range of facilities including a wellness spa and a small gym.
Room: Our room was a standard double, we expected an average double size bed, upon arrival the bed was a lot bigger than a UK double, plenty of space, there was also a small single bed in the room so 3 people could sleep. We had our own balcony with a table and chairs, a drying rack for wet swimming costumes, a flat screen tv, mini fridge with 2 complimentary bottles of water, air conditioning and a bathroom with a bath and a shower.
Restaurant The restaurant is a large space, light and airy with balcony seating looking over the pool and across to the Mediterranean. The food was amazing, a huge thanks to the chefs, full of flavour and a wide variety at breakfast lunch dinner and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The staff in the restaurant were phenomenal, hard working and attentive. Dimitrius memeorized our drinks order and made sure our drinks were never empty. Also a huge thanks to Vergis, Alex, Selba and Aurela, for their hard work, dedication and smiley personalities, throughout the busy lunch and dinner service.
Pool The pool is quite large with plenty of sunbeds on the surrounding patio and grass each having an umbrella. There is also plenty sheltered seating by the pool bar, with comfortable sofas. The all inclusive bar menu is great ranging from soft drinks, hot drinks and cocktails. Yanis and Paschalis were super friendly and genuinely cared about their job and their customers. Nikita the lifeguard was a great personality to be around each day, he made everyone feel at home, offering advice and help with anything you may need throughout the day.
Can't wait to come back and stay here again, thank you Hotel Kriopigi for having us and exceeding our...
Read moreThis hotel was lovely place unfortunately some strange rules. when we got there late at night cooked meal was plated up for us and left behind the bar at the pool we were all inclusive didn't feel much like drinking it was 22.30o'clock and been long day thought I'd have a Diet Coke but diet Cokes weren't included in all-inclusive so had to have full fat cokes went to bar at 23:05 for second drink only to be told the bar was closed to all inclusive but we could buy another one if we wanted as they ware still serving half bord guests. next day around the pool bar I orderd a beer it came in a plastic glass I thought no more about it as it's at the side of the pool then I saw a half board guest order a beer it came in a large pint glass frosted out of the freezer I didn't like being treated like a second class customer just because we paid upfront but didn't want to create a fuss as I was trying to relax and enjoy my holiday. all the staff there were really nice very helpful but always keen to serve other (paying) guests before all inclusive guests. when it came to evening meal the canteen was always full and we had to wait but when there became round 20 people waiting they never knew who was there first and that became quite frustrating when other people got seated before you. once we were in and seated the food was really very nice. now my main gripe about this hotel happened the day we had to check out we had to be out of the room by 12 and we checked out at the reception but we didn't 't get picked up for another 6 hours they insisted on cutting off our wrist bands so we could not use the facilities no more drinks or even lunchtime meal this left us virtually sitting on the streets for 6 hours waiting to get picked up we could use the luggage hold so left luggage there and went to a bar to have drinks and a meal all in all we would not go back to this hotel and do not recommend it which is quite a shame as the staff there were really nice with the exception of the chap on reception that day who was quite argumentative and totally unreasonable. just not very well organised with the way things should have been done all in all we...
