We rested at Kassandra Bay Hotel between 26.07.2023 - 02.08.2023, this was our first trip to Greece. I can personally say that I was satisfied with the vacation. The most important thing is not to confuse Kassandra Bay Hotel with Kassandra Bay Village. Although they look similar, one is located higher up the hill (kassandra bay hotel) and the other is lower, when you look for pictures, know that kassandra bay hotel is painted blue and the other is orange. A big advantage for us was the fact that although we arrived earlier, at 11 the room was already ready so we checked in earlier than 14:00, and those who had arrived earlier and made it to breakfast time ( 8-10) they were also offered breakfast. The hotel is clean, cleaning is done daily, and the bleach and towels were changed once during the stay, about the 5th day. It's quiet in the hotel, and the staff is kind and even joking. The lady at the reception is very nice, she answered all our questions. You speak English. The cleaning ladies speak English and Bulgarian. The only thing more unpleasant was the fact that we booked 2 rooms in case there were 3 adults and the agency had failed to book the room for 3, so in the contract it was specified that we would have a room for 2 and a single, but when we got here there were already 3 beds in the 2nd room, which caused a misunderstanding, so the other room remained unused, but I paid 200 or so euros more. It would have been nice to announce that they made changes and not to pay the other 200 euros for the room in which we practically did not stay. As for the food, everything was within the limits of being consumed. The mini de jun is the same every day: 2 types of salami, cheese, butter, Greek yogurt, 3 types of jams, chocolate that should be Nutella but is not honey, 2 types of cereals and a mix of dried fruits with (Avsianca) flakes and already your choice, cappuccino, coffee, espresso, tea, water or juice (cappuccino is a bit strong, we add a little milk to it). The dinner was quite consistent, varied, and the portions were large. At dinner you could have water. It is about 800 meters to the sea. The beach is not very clean, a lot of pine needles. Although it says that it is a sand and stone beach, don't be fooled, we thought that there would be 2 different beaches, one with stones and one with sand, but it was not to be. The beach is sandy, but when you get into the water it's not the same, if you come I recommend you to wear some slippers, but we didn't. Lunch for a week was about sandwiches with salami and cheese. You can find the best prices for salami in a roadside fish shop, and we buy cheese and other new products from a supermarket a little further from the shop on the corner where you can buy gyros. (Left side as you go up the hill) I bought souvenirs, wine and brandy from the shops on the right directly as you climb the hill and reach the town itself. The prices are ok, considering that it is a small town in the...
Read moreThe hotel is small, cozy, and truly welcoming. Our room was compact but had everything we needed — a fridge, air conditioning, and stable Wi-Fi. The best part was the spacious balcony with a sea view, complete with a table and chairs. There's also a clean and well-kept pool on the property, which was a real treat on hot days.||Breakfasts, while simple, were varied enough: cereals, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, cold cuts, fresh veggies, toast, jams, coffee, tea, and juice — plenty to choose from.|Dinners were a pleasant surprise — every evening brought something different: meatballs, grilled chicken, souvlaki, pasta or steamed vegetables, salads, and always fresh seasonal fruit (melon, nectarine, watermelon).||We want to sincerely thank the hotel staff — everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. A special shout-out to Yanis and Eleni, who seemed to work as front desk managers — they were the heart of the place! Always welcoming, helpful, and kind.|The owner also left a great impression — though we didn’t speak much, he always greeted us warmly with a smile.||It’s about a 10-minute walk downhill to the beach, but for extra comfort, the hotel runs a shuttle three times a day.|The beach itself is rather wild, with no amenities, but the sea is absolutely stunning — crystal-clear, clean, and very inviting!||The village of Kryopigi is a 10-minute walk uphill. It has plenty of restaurants, cafés, and souvenir shops. Prices are a bit on the high side, but the atmosphere is charming and tourist-friendly. We tried to bargain a little — not always successfully — but vendors often added a small gift to our purchase, which was a nice touch 😊||And most importantly — my wife was really happy with our stay… and trust me, she’s not that easy...
Read moreThe location is wonderful, excellent located, rustic, everything it was great, the personnel very kind and trying to make your accommodation as much as best as possible. Food especially dinner was very tasty and healthy, fresh cooked and remind you from childhood. However, there are some negative aspects that I would like to point out: the room inside does not look very clean, the walls were full of spiders, the dust was present everywhere, we had to clean it for ourselves which for 3 star hotel does not look very good. I suggest the management to take some action and proper check and inspect the rooms before to be delivered to any customer. Breakfast was exactly the same every day without any modification, for 2-3 days was okay, you have what to eat, but again it must have little changes like instead of boiled eggs to make it scramble eggs, or fried eggs, some ham, sausage, some olives because it is the symbol of that place. I suggest to the hotel management to adjust little bit those small things and for sure the customers will be more happy and more people will come. The towels are being changed every 3 days, but bed sheet are not changed at all for 7 nights and for family with children that is a big minus, because the children are imprevisible and may put dirty hands on the bed sheets. At least at customer demands, in some occasions the bed sheets should be changed. Anyhow, overall it was a good location, good vacation, the pool was wonderful, enough deep for swimming 2.20m, most of the time free of people and we really enjoy it. The chief cook was smiling every day, joking at all times and tries to make...
