Hotel Magdalena — Hotel in Kassandra Municipality

2023: The situation has changed dramatically. The quality of service went steeply down. The rooms we occupied this year seemed stale and need renovation. Prices are almost double compared to previous years. The breakfast included has changed and it's not worth the price any longer. It's mostly baked products and nothing valuable. The service in the restaurant is catastrophic. One boy responsible for serving and managing the bar in the mornings. There is no water in the rooms most of the time. The receptionist girl is very kind and polite, and tries to do her best to solve all of the problems, but unfortunately most of them are not in her resort, so I wouldn't blame her for any of the issues above. From one of my favourite places, it turned into a place I would most likely not visit next year.

2022 Update: The place is getting even better! There are brunch updates and it's definitely worth visiting. The eggs Benedict though needs a lot of polishing. It's actually not even close to the original recipe. I would not recommend it.

The experience is exceptionally good. Clean and cozy room, quite area, close to the sea and city center. There is a private parking, a bit far away from the hotel, but it's ok. The breakfast is also excellent, not the typical all-you-can-eat or continental breakfast.

Our stay at the hotel was brilliant, the hotel and rooms were cleaned daily and the rooms were a decent size with everything you needed. It is also really well situated being a 5 minute walk from the main strip and a couple minutes walk from the beach.

What really stood out is the owners and staff, they were all extremely friendly and welcoming and went over and above what I would class as normal service. We got some great advice on places to go in the area, including some decent beach bars, restaurants and other hotels with kid friendly pools.

Not only that, the owner was happy to drive us to nearby hotels with pools when we couldn't get taxi's as my mum couldn't walk very far! (what other hotels would do that for you?!)

The associated Veranda bar, was also really nice and chilled to sit in and have drinks, with a great atmosphere and cocktails and a really friendly team (albeit we drank too much tequila and jagerbombs) 🤣

10/10 would recommend and would definitely stay again.

The hotel location is pretty good, near to the beach. There is a private parking which is a big advantage especially in the high season. We stayed at small double room located on the floor above the cocktail bar and during the weekend it was a little bit noisy. The room was not clean very well. Upon our arrival there were small hairs at the bathroom. Furthermore during our 5days stay we didn’t get fresh towels , the housekeepers just went to the room for floor cleaning , nothing else /may be this is the housekeeping policy of the hotel/. The water pressure was too low or nothing at all, which is unacceptable. Another big problem was the waiter who works first shift and was supposed to serve the breakfast. The boy is so slow, lazy and rude. He was not in a good mood every morning and it seems that the guests of the hotel are the reason for it. We had to wait for the breakfast and coffee more than 50-60mins every morning. Unfortunately I can’t recommend to stay at this hotel.
