Terrible family run hotel. Avoid at all costs. Incredibly unprofessional and arrogant older lady that runs it. There is never any staff member at reception no matter what time of the day it is so you can never get any service.
After checking in we told them our plane back home changed time so we needed to leave a day early and stay 3 days instead of the 4 days we booked for. The lady we spoke with said this was okay and that they wouldn’t charge us for the 4th night and updated their records. Upon check out we realised we had been charged for the full 4 days and requested they cancel the charge for the 4th night as previously agreed given we won’t be staying. The owner then denied having any recollection of this information and refused to refund us for the 4th night. My partner was speaking Greek to her and mid way conversation she then changed her story and said she only found out about it last night and continued to lie during the conversation. She then accused us of not speaking to the right person at reception, however that’s the catch there is NEVER anyone at reception to help you. She also had the audacity to say the customer isn’t always right and why should I pay for your 4th night of accomodation? Clearly we didn’t stay the 4th night so we did NOT request a free night of accomodation like she eluded to. VERY SHIFTY, all this hotel cares about is taking your money, they do NOT pride themselves on good customer service.
Very LAZY owner that clearly doesn’t want to pay someone to man the reception desk. Not once did they try and talk to us about this prior to check out and advise that they were going to charge us the full amount. Do yourself a favour and stay at a hotel that is professionally run. There are many better options out there. They also charge you to use a beach towel for the pool. Everywhere we have been in Europe, even hotels without a pool would give this complementary. You shouldn’t have to experience this type of poor service when you are paying to have a good experience on your holiday. G George has left an incredibly sour taste in our mouth and we would never consider returning even if...

Boasting a convenient central setting, a standout swimming pool and genuinely welcoming service, G George Hotel delivers all the essentials for an enjoyable three-star stay.
Location Centrally located yet surprisingly quiet Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the boulevard
Food & Drinks Breakfast: varied and very fresh Lunch: simple but satisfying Dinner: below expectations—recommend dining on the boulevard Drinks: prepackaged smoothies; cocktails lack fresh or authentic ingredients
Rooms & Noise Daily housekeeping keeps rooms spotless Poor sound insulation (tiled floors, thin walls) and laundry-area vibrations
Facilities & WiFi Spacious, well-maintained fantastic pool Extremely limited WiFi: barely supports text messaging; video calls or streaming impossible Early-morning towel-reserving common again since Jet2Holidays began bringing more British guests
Staff & Service Friendly, attentive staff and diligent housekeeping Reception communicates poorly on special requests: both our in-stay room-change and late check-out inquiries were met with “we will get back to you,” but no follow-up occurred, forcing us to chase updates No direct tipping option for staff—only a donation box for two dogs and a parakeet
Inclusivity & Representation No visible support for the LGBTQ+ community within the hotel; staff offered no acknowledgment despite our noticeable presence In Nidri and its wider surroundings, queer travellers will find few community spaces, events or welcoming venues, making the island largely silent on rainbow life
Recommendation Recommended for couples and families with young children seeking a clean, centrally located hotel with a great pool. Not suited to guests who require reliable internet, prompt handling of service requests or an explicitly inclusive local scene.
Overall, a pleasant stay with room for improvement in service and...
Read moreIf you are looking for a neat, quiet place to stay in Nidri, you should be here. Just a small walk from the boulevard away, in all silence, you can find the ultimate place to relax. Rooms are tidy, clean and comfortable and everything you need (our bed squeaked a little though) but please, can we know what pillows you have? We wanted to take them home!||For your info - safe and airconditioning are not included but optional extra's. Wifi is, but it's not always the most stable and fastest wifi. ||The pool is perfect for cooling down and there are always beds free :) | |Poolbar/restaurant has the same prices as at the boulevard, so it's maybe at the more 'expensive' side (and you are not allowed to take food/drinks from outside the place to the pool, understandable though)||The breakfast has enough choices everyday and changes everyday a little so it's slight different, but it has everything you need! (I personally missed bacon with my eggs, but that's me) ||Last but not least... the BIGGEST shout out for the staff, thank you for being so helpful, kind and respect all for working long days for making us all feel welcome. ||I'm now totally relaxed at home and would choose G George for a second stay if we decide to go to...
