Apollon Restaurant — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

Excellent, the food was very good, good quality, service, although under stress, very friendly. Good choice of dishes and the Greek dishes were excellent… you must try the fish aswell, white snapper, perfectly grillen and the fried sole is also to recommend. I enjoyed the grilled Prawns in Garlic sauce but for my palate, I could have done with more Garlic. We were there 3 times, enjoyed it everytime and To top it all we were served a dessert, followed by coffee with brandy or Lemoncello kind of drink, which was rather sweet, with compliments from the good looking, well in shape proprietor. Another thing I must mention because I was so taken in by it, we had alovely meal, the wine flowed and when we paid the bill, the proprietor came back and said we’d paid to much. The scrawl on the bill was really not to read and could be easily misinterpreted. But we wouldn’t have known!!! And I find that when something like that happens it should be commented on … Three cheers for the honest proprietor…. That’s another reason why we went back 3 times. Service was fine, friendly and food was “ok”. Didn’t dislike it but wasn’t wowed by it and waited quite a while for the food to arrive (nearly an hour after ordering starters) Restaurant was busy so sort of expected the wait to be fair but just overall bit disappointed

Pitta and humous for starters (pitta wasn’t like normal greek pitta we’ve had as it was soft and tasted different) but the hummus was nice

I had the chicken tricolour for mains (I think it was called). On menu its chicken breast with peppers and onion in a creamy wine sauce but it was served as cut up peices of chicken (no cream) as it reminded me more of sweet & sour chicken (tasty mind) but not what i was expecting sadly!

Missus ordered the home made beef burger which traditionally does not come with a bun (which is fine) but lacked flavour and was dry. Normally you can really taste the flavour and oregano in the beef burger but sadly not with the one here. Came with fries…. Which as most tavernas we go to in Greece do home made chips, was disappointing in itself.

Just overall, ok...

Wonderful food, with big large portions at reasonable prices. Would reccomend, as it's very beautiful, clean and styled. The view is also beautiful at 9PM. They also give you dessert for free at the end. I ordered traditional food in the pot, and it was beautiful, and my family ordered fish which was looking stunning, and tasted pretty good even though I am not a big fan of fish. Waiter was friendly, but a bit messy, i think he spilled some of my food from the pot, but not that much. Well they had so much people in the restaurant at the time, so thats explaining it. Wait time can also be big depending on the food you ordered.

9/10 Overall, would reccomend, as I have been to other restaurants in Lefkada, and it was more expensive, but worse(places weren't as clean, wasps attacking, etc).
